Communicating with Clients via Chat: Distance and a Sense of Liveness
I frequently communicate with my clients via chat.
I used to use Facebook Messenger a lot, but
now Chatwork is my main tool.
I sometimes use LINE and Slack as well.
The fact that the number of tools keeps increasing is the tricky part, though...
24 hours a day, 365 days a year, our hearts are always together.
I want to have a relationship with my clients where we can
easily reach out to each other at any time, from either side.
I want to say something, I want to ask something.
A relationship where you can say it without stress the moment you think of it.
Removing the hurdles to thinking and acting,
being a business partner you can talk to at any time
is very important.
I tell my clients,
24 hours a day, 365 days a year, our hearts are always together!
I mean it!
Truly, this relationship is the foundation for achieving results.
The reason why I prefer chat over email.
Email is tedious.
There are too many steps: the recipient's address, the subject line, the body...
Managing threads of conversation is also a hassle.
With chat, a dedicated thread with the other person is created automatically.
You can always refer to the latest information and previous exchanges.
There is no stress.
The peace of mind that comes with Chatwork's search function,
and the ability to share common information in the overview section, are great.
By the way, many people say LINE is fine, but
I highly recommend you try Chatwork!
LINE is hard to search, attachments disappear...
It feels a bit... unsuitable for business use. 💦
You can use the free version of Chatwork with almost no issues.
Since the (previous) limit on the number of chats was abolished,
the only thing is that you can't see exchanges older than 40 days,
but there are almost no limits on the latest information!
The peace of mind and sense of liveness of always being 'connected'.
The peace of mind of always being connected,
and the sense of liveness of working together.
When you connect via chat, you get that kind of feeling.
When things get lively, you end up replying at the same speed as if you were having a live conversation lol
Thinking, 'Wouldn't it be better to just connect on Zoom?' while continuing to chat...
Since chat leaves a written record, you end up thinking more deeply and seriously.
It really makes your brain sweat, and it feels like you're having a session with a client.
It's a great live feeling.
I also make full use of chat for organizing points before a consulting session.
Organizing things like, 'Today's schedule is...', adding points, and adjusting the time...
Today, a live session is starting with that same great feeling too!
