Who are my customers? - A consideration of business domains -
It is often said that the first hurdle to business success is
defining the business domain.
To begin with, what is a domain?
Today, I'd like to talk about returning to the fundamentals of management...
What is a business domain?
When thinking about the customers for your (my) business,
it means clarifying the boundaries by contrasting the target audience and target area with those that are not.
It is often said that you should "narrow down your domain."
Why is it important to narrow down your domain rather than expand it?
Digging deep and clarifying who you want to help and why.
If your domain is too broad, you end up doing various things sporadically,
and everything tends to end up half-baked.
By clarifying your domain, you can
pour your (my) energy into the other party without waste, achieving great results and contributions!
Writing it like that makes it sound like a hassle, but I think it's fine to think of it as simply
thinking properly about the other person and doing things so that you get results
.
My customers are people (companies) who are working hard and earnestly but are not seeing results.
I hate waste.
If you ask how that relates to business,
I believe that just by eliminating waste, enormous positive energy is generated.
Just by eliminating waste, enormous profits are generated.
There is too much energy being wasted in the world.
For example, internal infighting, and so on (laughs).
I often see situations where people are truly pulling each other down over trivial things,
and even if the individuals themselves aren't aware of it,
waste is being created as a result.
Identify the root cause of why things are not clicking
Even though everyone is truly a good person and working hard,
something is not clicking...
a very unfortunate situation
Once you understand the root cause,
“Oh, is that all it is?”
you can start to see things go smoothly just by changing your perspective or approach slightly, which you might think is trivial
The ability to see the big picture and determine the essence
People working hard on the front lines often know the details too well, so
they lose sight of the whole picture
which happens quite often.
Because they are so earnest, they only notice the flaws
they don't see what is being done right or the great potential
An objective third-party perspective
That is why an outside eye is necessary
When looking from the outside,
isn't this the issue?
it is often easy to notice things naturally
Notice
Organize
Analyze
Articulate
Illustrate
Support
For me, there is nothing special,
I just have a slightly higher level of interest and curiosity
The field is full of possibilities!
When I get to see various workplaces,
I truly find so many possibilities.
Honestly, it's amazing!
You all do things that make me think,
How on earth do you do that?!
What is taken for granted in the field is not taken for granted in the world.
What is taken for granted from the outside is not taken for granted in the field.
That is why, bridging that gap is important.
When I feel wasted negative energy,
and when I feel that positive energy is buried,
my antenna goes 'ping!' in both cases.
I want to release the energy buried in the field,
with a big boom!
Do you get it?
It's hard to explain, isn't it? lol
Thinking about things like that,
I am currently brushing it up further,
and since I have a self-introduction next week,
it's a quiet afternoon where I'm daydreaming about how to convey it.
