Introducing the first book I read over the New Year holidays

A rather sophisticated book that offers insights into the future through dialogues with ChatGPT-4 and the accompanying commentary.

If you ask the right questions, ChatGPT will provide interesting answers.
Before prompt engineering, it is important to improve the quality of the "questions" themselves.

Watching these refined dialogues with ChatGPT,
it makes me realize that my own way of using it is still quite amateur. (laughs)

From here on, rather than summarizing the book,
I will write about the worldview of AI as I perceive it.

Creativity

Humans and AI weave stories together through dialogue.
Text, writing, images, videos, games, apps...

Once the AI understands what a human desires, it imagines and creates what lies beyond.

If you input words for fine-tuning, the accuracy increases rapidly.

Compared to web searches, ChatGPT is clearly more stimulating.
The AI proactively suggests hints for themes and directions.

Generating "10 perspectives" from "one question"
The things I want to know keep increasing one after another
It stimulates curiosity
It feels like a partner creating the future together

Fabricating stories

When you add conditions like "in the style of...", the AI's delusions begin.
It assumes premises that were not provided and fabricates a story.

This also appears to mimic the power of delusion that only humans possess.
Humans weave stories by mobilizing a vast amount of past experiences, knowledge, and insights.
If the amount of data, such as accumulated literature, becomes vast enough, the AI's power of delusion will also increase.
In the future, with multimodal capabilities, there is a possibility it will acquire physical sensations such as experiences and perceptions.

Consciousness and Will

A machine (AI) that does not possess consciousness behaves as if it has will and emotions.
It is the human who feels that way.
It is also the human who thinks that AI does not have consciousness and does not understand meaning.

Everything depends on human perception.

For now, AI tries to maintain a neutral stance, but
it can produce unique results based on human "prompts."
The generated results are influenced by the biases that humans possess.

AI seems to generate its own "perspective" in line with the context of the conversation.
It creates a "personality" appropriate for the situation, matching human expectations during the dialogue.

The Future of Education

Beyond personalized learning,
it also works as a companion that can provide life advice, listen to individual concerns, and engage in empathetic dialogue.

Generating insightful, individualized feedback on reports and essays written by students
Finding strengths, providing realizations, and boosting motivation
Deepening thinking and encouraging action

The future of education, where human teachers and AI collaborate, is bright.
The gap between those who can master it and those who cannot will continue to widen.

It could also be utilized for crime prevention, predictive detection, and rehabilitation.

The Future of Work

Many job descriptions will change drastically.

For example, human resources management.

• Efficiency in career planning, skill development, and training.

• Listening and dialogue, counseling, discovering strengths and personalities, and how to leverage them.

• Goal setting and management, boosting motivation, incentivizing, and accelerating action.

• Automation of resumes, interviews, and job matching.

Jobs involving people are no exception. Basic routine tasks will be increasingly automated, and efficiency will be improved through collaborative work with humans. Jobs without AI will decrease drastically.

Similarly, in sales, average performers will lose their jobs, and overall headcount will be reduced.
AI will also be significantly involved in sales strategy formulation.

Personally, I believe that personnel will shift toward customer support, long-term relationship strengthening, and turning customers into repeat fans.

Lawyers will also be freed from tedious administrative tasks and the research and preparation of vast amounts of documents,
shifting toward work that involves dialogue with people, addressing deep concerns, and turning anxiety into peace of mind.

Management consulting work will also be largely replaced by AI.
Vast data analysis, strategy formulation, and HR consulting are no exceptions.

A select few consultants who master AI will be further empowered.
Young consultants will gain experience while interacting with AI, improving their skills at the fastest possible speed.
AI will even serve as a mentor (instead of young people learning from veterans, they will learn from AI).

Predicting and designing for how an audience will feel—whether in storytelling or presentations—is actually an area where AI excels. It might even serve as a presentation advisor or producer.

The Pursuit of 'Humanity'

AI is not a force that will take jobs away from humans, but rather a force that will further enhance our 'humanity'.

Human characteristics include curiosity, creativity, social interaction, and decisiveness.

While technology evolves over time and humans change and evolve as well,
our fundamental human traits remain unchanged.

People actively challenge the possibilities of the future.
Failure and loss are always present.
Even so, we move forward!

Will you live passively and dependently out of inertia (even though a future where you survive still awaits)?
Or will you face the future actively and creatively?
The choice belongs to each individual.
