What is "Strategy"?
In an article I wrote recently, I listed three important perspectives in management.
Strategy (creating customers and providing attractive products/services)
Management (planning -> operational management)
Communication (creating synergy, a truly unified team!)
Among these, I would like to rethink "strategy".
"Strategy" means designing the whole so that it naturally succeeds.
Whether in business, life, or projects,
first, think about the overall flow and scenario.
Visualize the goal.
Clarify where you are aiming, where you want to go,
the purpose (why are you doing it?), and the objectives (the goal point and state).
The goal is something you will naturally achieve,
it's a given that it will be done!
Think with the premise that there are no other options (this might be important, lol).
It is good if you can vividly imagine the state of the goal, the excitement after achieving it, the influence, and the changes in those around you.
Draw a scenario by working backward from the goal.
Before thinking about various means and things to do,
with the premise that it will go well,
first imagine the changes in state leading up to the goal as a scenario or flow.
The premise that it will naturally go well is super important.
When you vividly imagine the goal,
the gap with the current situation becomes visible.
At this time,
if you think things like 'no way, that's impossible,' you will definitely fail.
It is important to assemble everything with the premise that it can naturally be done.
People talk about the power of believing in yourself, but
I don't necessarily have that much confidence.
However, a premise is something you decide for yourself, without anyone getting in your way!
Since it is an assumption, there is no single correct answer.
First, think with the premise that things will go well.
It's not so much confidence as it is the conviction that it has already happened.
It's a fundamental principle of the universe, lol.
When you set a premise, you should also value the sense of discomfort
that suddenly arises. You shouldn't change your premise easily, but you must not ignore that sense of discomfort.
A sense of discomfort is a sign of risk, so you should carefully analyze it and consider countermeasures.
The human brain twists scenarios to make things add up!
Even if there is a significant gap between the premise and the result,
as long as the premise does not waver, it is fine.
The human brain has the ability to adjust contradictory conditions to make them consistent,
creating a scenario that is convenient for oneself. It is said that
only humans on Earth possess this ability.
The power of imagination, which allows you to realistically visualize scenes you have never seen before, is a uniquely human ability.
Nurture big ambitions and dreams.
Design a scenario by working backward from the goal.
Naturally, think about everything with the premise that it will go well.
Do not ignore discomfort; deal with it carefully.
This is how I think about strategy.
I would be happy if this is helpful in any way.
