Honesty is a weapon. ~Adult relearning, unlearning, and reskilling~
I am turning sixty this year, but I am still in a growth phase.
Work is getting busy in a good way.
Recently, someone told me, "Kawahara-san, you are so honest," and I felt that perhaps I have finally reached that stage. It was completely different when I was young, but now, everyone I meet and everything I encounter feels fresh.
Still full of things I don't know (the knowledge of ignorance)
There is still so much I don't know.
When I am consulted about a field I have no experience in, I confirm by saying,
"I am not an expert in that field, is that alright?"
The confidence that even if I lack knowledge, I can manage somehow.
The defiance that there is nothing to do but research or think about what I don't know.
Thinking this way makes me feel at ease.
For now, I set aside my existing knowledge and experience and begin a new exploration.
It is a very exciting moment.
The more I know, the wider my circle of interest grows
To research, I combine three methods: searching online, reading books, and meeting people to ask questions. Depending on the time available, even in one hour, I can gather a decent amount of information.
Once I know, I become even more interested.
Thinking, "Was there a world like this!?"
The multiplication of knowledge and thought (planning and conceptualization skills)
As knowledge increases, new plans are born.
With the multiplication of knowledge and thought, my imagination expands.
Couldn't I also do something like this?
Imagination → Conception → Planning
My thinking expands in this way.
An honest desire to know the essence (observational and insight skills)
There are areas I cannot understand even after researching and thinking.
My interest deepens, wondering, "Is there something essential there?"
This is what we call a theme.
Currently, my interest is growing in the relationship between AI, humans, and society, and
the future of their interaction.
Has the singularity moved up from 2045 to around 2025?
It wasn't aliens, but AI that arrived.
Will we be invaded, or can we become friends? I want to determine the boundary conditions.
If you can imagine it, it will come true (The power of delusion)
I assume that difficult themes will ultimately settle in a good way.
I don't usually do this, but I'm being positive just for this.
The unknown future will surely be interesting.
I think so without any basis.
Because everyone desires that direction.
Enjoy the present by working backward from a future that is bound to be interesting.
That seems to lead tohonesty.
Expanding possibilities (Desire for collaboration)
There is no need to fight,
I want to stick my neck into various places and collaborate.
Does the feeling of believing in possibilities create honesty?
The future will become even more interesting
for sure!
I'm off to seek new encounters today as well!
