I want a letter to the dream I want to fulfill: 'What are you talking about?'

　There is something that has been weighing on my mind for a long time. We created a back alley in the city of note, used the phrase "What are you talking about?", and have been enjoying creative freedom together.

　Last year, we built a new literary creative genre together with all of you, and the phrase "What are you talking about?" expanded throughout the world of the city of note. The "#WhatAreYouTalkingAbout" tag, which didn't exist at all before, grew to over 5,000 articles last year alone, and now exceeds 7,000. And we are also looking forward to publishing an e-book created by about 100 people.

　Every one of them is something nonsensical and useless from inside people's heads. Even so, by enjoying them just as they are, as something silly,

　Writing is fun after all. If there are such "crazy" people out there, it's okay for me to write whatever I want and have fun too.

　With that thought, each person enjoyed it, and it spread naturally. The methods of expression are diverse, and each person uses it freely as their own "What are you talking about?" as a starting point to enjoy creation and expression.

　Among them, one of the comments I received on my article last year is something I have firmly engraved in my heart as what I should do, want to do, and want to fulfill in the future. It is a review I received from Fleurette on my entry for the Creative Awards. I will excerpt a part of it here. For those who want to read the details, I recommend starting from chapter five.

　The mission of "What are you talking about?" that I define in my mission, vision, and values is,

　To enable everyone to express even the most trivial things happily and freely.

　To achieve that, I am practicing accepting all forms of expression.

　In doing so, I thought that if I could really collect children's works, it might expand a certain possibility.

　I want to read the "What are you talking about?" that children write.

　If I can properly explain this head-on and make it interesting and fun, wouldn't more people want to write? I have been thinking about this for a long time.

　What I want to do is sow seeds, and whether it's adults or children, I hope that with the single phrase "What are you talking about?", they will enjoy writing, and along the way, I want them to bloom beautiful flowers somewhere I would be happy if they came back to sow seeds again with "What are you talking about?", let them bloom vividly, and create and play together with me.

　If things continue like this, not only the readers but also the writers will disappear. This is because you can create without even choosing your own words. I don't want children who want to write to feel that there is no point in writing before they even start. I want them to know the joy of having no constraints. I believe that as long as you keep constraining that expression must be this way or should be that way, new expression will not be born. I believe that the foundation to accept that happily exists in "What are you talking about?".

　This is "What are you talking about?", and I will accept everything. I will imagine and enjoy everything. It's interesting because we all imagine it together. This work is so interesting if you feel it this way. I believe we need a foundation that makes people want to continue writing and want to write more.

　Up until now, I have been adding commentary to each of the over 5,000 articles in the creative genre "What are you talking about?" and compiling them into newsletters.

　Regarding "What are you talking about?", I have read more of them than anyone else in Japan. So, I will properly explain the "What are you talking about?" pieces that are collected. I am the Best Reviewer Award winner of the Creative Awards. I am better at reading than writing.

　As for the form of the commentary, I want to take a form that makes people say, "I want to write again" or "I want to think more freely and playfully."

And my ideal is to have it in a form that everyone can read, such as a book or a format on the internet where people can enjoy sharing their opinions, so that adults can comment while reading, saying things like 'This part is interesting,' 'I never would have thought of that,' or 'What a unique expression. That's wonderful,' and everyone can enjoy it together.

I want to spread a form of literature where we don't deny each other, but enjoy things together. I want to collect the works of children who say they want to write now under the title 'What are you talking about?' It doesn't have to be limited to literature; drawings, works, songs, anything is fine. If there is just one foundation where everyone can enjoy themselves, things will bloom on their own from there.

I want you to help me build that foundation. I know that creating a genre is difficult because it involves changing something that doesn't exist into something that does.

Even so, I want you not to deny new possibilities, but to focus on making things interesting together.

I believe it is necessary to sow seeds for children, just as many adults are currently enjoying and playing with things.

They might change it into a different form in the blink of an eye. That is because they will definitely play with it seriously.

Actually, I also think it would be nice if we could distribute book covers, bookmarks, or other 'What are you talking about?' merchandise to the children who participate.

I want them to grow to love reading books, so I also want to create goods related to books.

I want to try out e-books and paid articles aiming for that, so I am sorry that I cannot give anything right now, but I want to create a form of literature that is visible, enjoyable, and circulated by everyone.

If everyone enjoys it and is happy, perhaps in the not-too-distant future, children who go on to write will emerge. I feel that only we who can sow the seeds are the ones who can think about how happy it would be to be able to say, 'That child from back then'.

I want this creative genre to reach children who love to write and create. They must definitely be out there. If they don't know what to do, rather than starting with a book report, just knowing about a place where enjoyment is the premise and knowing they are not alone should be enough to make it fun. I want to create such a place.

I want to enjoy things from small seeds and expand a single possibility greatly.

I have written this much, but all the events that led to this point are things that have actually happened between me and the back-alley residents of the town of note.
