Wishing on Tanabata, I want to be someone who never lets go of words
I'm not good at setting goals.
Because if they don't come true, I'll just feel empty.
A Tanabata decoration was placed in front of my department at work.
This department values seasonal events, and there is some kind of decoration every month.
This month is Tanabata.
Along with the bamboo, strips of paper for wishes were gently provided.
I was told, "Write down a wish!" but,
I somehow couldn't bring myself to write one.
But in truth, I do have things I want to achieve deep in my heart. It's just that they don't easily turn into words, and many quiet wishes lie dormant there.
What do I want to be like a year from now?
Honestly, if I can just live peacefully, I don't really
wish for anything more than that.
Eating delicious food, reading books, drawing pictures, and writing.
I thought that was enough.
But, if I were to write a wish on a strip of paper...
May the things I create reach many people
To be a bit more specific, I think it would be nice to aim for 100 followers.
The act of "following" is proof that someone thinks, "I want to read more" or "I want to support them."
Until now, I was bad at showing my work to others.
Because I've had experiences where I was laughed at or rejected.
But recently, when I drew an illustration for a notice at work,
many people said things like, "That's cute" or "That's lovely."
That has given me a little bit of confidence.
So, I don't want to be afraid of someone else's reaction anymore.
I want to share the things I think are "good" with a straightforward heart.
Because I live by creating.
I haven't reached the point of wanting to "publish a book" or "monetize" yet, though.
Even so,I want to keep writing. That is my greatest wish.
I am no longer the person who gives up halfway.
Even on days when I'm not feeling well, I think I will return here.
A year from now, I am sure I will still be in this place.
I want to live here, together with my words.
If I could write just one more wish, I think I would write this.
May I be a resident of note again next year
Thank you, Kotoba-to-san, for hosting this wonderful project.🎋
