It's suddenly not cream-colored anymore: Listen to the voice of your soul
It might sound dramatic, but I am currently on the verge of selling my soul.
I have about 10 pages left in the MD notebook I'm currently using. I need a new notebook immediately. However, there is one problem.
It's the color of the paper.
I apologize for saying just the other day that 'once you use an MD notebook, you can't be satisfied with anything other than MD paper,' but ever since around that time, it suddenly stopped being cream-colored.
It's no longer cream-colored. I want white.
Whether I'm writing or drawing, it just feels a bit off.
Also, I don't want A5; I want something a bit smaller. It's better if it has a lot of pages. Around 200 pages.
The now-discontinued MD Notebook Cotton F0 size fits this description.
Oh man, this sudden change in direction is such a hassle.
If things were as they used to be, I would have just bought one and been done with it.
I am left with three paths here.
1. Ignore the voice of my soul saying 'cream-colored is wrong' and use the cream-colored paper notebook I received as a souvenir.
(It saves me money, and since it's smaller and rounder, it feels fresh, but the cover design is just not for me.)
2. Ignore the voice of my soul saying 'A5 is wrong' and buy one MD Notebook Cotton A5.
(It would cost 1650 yen plus shipping. But it only has 176 pages. At least there's the peace of mind that I can keep buying them.)
3. Listen to the voice of my soul and buy a 10-pack of MD Notebook Cotton F0 on Mercari.
(18,300 yen... I know it can't be helped since it's discontinued, but it was originally a 1210 yen product. I don't know if I'll even use 10 of them, and I'm hesitant to pay 6000 yen extra. But if I have 10, it would serve as a bridge until the F0 is brought back.)
After listing these three, I thought of a secret plan.
The secret plan
I'll cut out the pages I drew on from the MD Notebook Cotton F0 I used for my pilgrimage on the Way of Le Puy, and use the remaining white pages.
(The remaining pages have pilgrimage stamps on them. But that's fine because they're cute. I also have stamps in my credential (pilgrim's passport), and if it bothers me, I can collage over them. I probably won't use this notebook for anything else anyway. There are only 8 pages with drawings on them.)

Yes, as you all can see, I have decided to go with the secret plan.
I won't sell my soul, but I don't want to own 9 notebooks I might not use.
I want to make the most of what I have. It's a perfect solution.
By the way, my impression from using it during the Le Puy pilgrimage was that it gets incredibly wrinkled when using watercolors. This is also one of the reasons I'm hesitant about the 10-pack.
And because of its softness, I felt the pencil tip sink in a little.

But right now, I am seeking that soft, cotton-like white. My soul is.Wait, that's not it.
