Setting up a Saltwater Aquarium Vol. 15

I welcomed a toadstool leather coral and a fire shrimp.

I wanted my two clownfish to snuggle in it, so I bought a toadstool leather coral from Charm! To get free shipping, I added a fire shrimp to my cart too!
(Buying a 3,500 yen creature just to save 770 yen on shipping... 🙃?)
I posted about my excitement at the time on Threads.

What does 'while I'm at it' even mean...? I don't even understand myself...
I was surprised that the fire shrimp was bigger than I thought!
I thought it would be about the size of a red scooter blenny, but it was about twice as big! However, it doesn't come out from behind the live rock except during feeding time, so it doesn't have much presence 😂
It gets along well with the red scooter blenny, and it's funny how it hugs the dropper while eating during feeding time 😉

The clownfish do not snuggle.

I put the toadstool leather coral in hoping they would snuggle in it instead of an anemone, but neither of them even looks at it 😶
As usual, they seem to consider the space between the heater and the live rock their sanctuary.
Well, it looks gorgeous, and maybe they will in the future!!

I removed the hang-on-back filter.

Regarding whether or not to remove the hang-on-back filter that I was worried about in the last post, I figured since I have a Mame Skimmer and it ran alongside the canister filter for a month, the benefits of the hang-on-back filter shouldn't be that great, so I went ahead and removed it.
Cleaning it was a hassle anyway... It looks so much cleaner now, and I'm glad I removed it 😆

Aquariums are truly healing.
I will do my best to ensure I can stay with my current members for a long time!
