[Tottori Prefecture] Recommended Domestic Travel Destinations

providing new experiences, stimulation, and stress relief from enjoying a break from the ordinary.
Recently, due to the weak yen and other factors, the hurdle for overseas travel has risen, and I think it has become difficult for Japanese people to travel abroad easily.
Therefore, there seems to be high demand for domestic travel,
and I also love domestic travel.

Here, I will introduce my highly recommended prefecture that is not Hokkaido, Okinawa, or Fukuoka.
To be precise, it is "Tottori Prefecture"!
I usually live in the Kanto region, and I have been to all 47 prefectures, including those I visited for work,
and it is one of my favorites that ranks quite high.
When I recommend Tottori trips to friends or colleagues, those who actually go tell me it was a wonderful place!
So, I would like to talk a little about the charm of Tottori Prefecture.
First, the charms of Tottori Prefecture are

2. Delicious food 😋
3. (In a good way) Fewer people, so there are no traffic jams and less stress when moving around.

Everyone loves places where the food is delicious and the atmosphere is peaceful.
First, let's start with an introduction to the tourist spots.
① Tottori Sand Dunes (Tottori City)
It goes without saying, as I don't think there is anyone who comes to Tottori and doesn't go there. It's famous, so I'll skip the explanation. lol
It is a spectacular view regardless.
Pets are allowed if they are on a leash,
so I brought my beloved dog.
Next to the sand dunes, there is also a sand museum called The Sand Museum.
② Mizuki Shigeru Road (Sakaiminato City)
Since Sakaiminato City is the hometown of Shigeru Mizuki, the author of GeGeGe no Kitaro, there is a shopping street that stretches for several hundred meters from Sakaiminato Station, which is called Mizuki Shigeru Road.
On the shopping street, there are statues of those yokai (spirits) like Kitaro and Nezumi Otoko.
There are also many cute yokai souvenirs.
③ Gosho Aoyama Manga Factory (Hokuei Town)
Tottori Prefecture is also the hometown of Gosho Aoyama, the author of Detective Conan.
Actually, the Tottori Airport is also named Tottori Sand Dunes Conan Airport ✈️
With Professor Agasa's car, Shinichi Kudo's house, and more,
it is an irresistible facility for Conan fans!
Other than that, there are many wonderful tourist spots such as the Uradome Coast, Oenosato, Misasa Onsen, Mt. Daisen, and Mitokusan.

Also, the food in Tottori is delicious and super cheap!
I ate a fried shrimp set meal at a port town called Karo Port in Tottori City, and although I forgot the exact price,
I don't think it was even 2,000 yen for that volume. It makes no sense...
Also, I went to a ramen shop in Tottori called Hot Air. 🍜
It's the one that has even become a cup ramen at convenience stores.
It was a chicken salt-based ramen and it was very delicious 😋
Like this, Tottori Prefecture is peaceful and has delicious food.
