Daytime Work in the Nightlife World (Infiltrating a Host Club)🍷
Good morning, this is Hosshi.
(This is work from mid-September)
I watch YouTube videos of various genres, but sometimes I watch ones about host clubs and cabaret clubs.
For some reason, they're actually quite interesting.
There's the messy human drama, and stories of people struggling to become top earners.
And then, I'm left going 'Whoa' at the customers who pour huge amounts of money into it.
Well, I don't drink alcohol, and I wouldn't want to go to such a noisy place as a customer, but it's fun to watch in videos.
That's when I found this day labor job.

I just have to go for this, right❗
Even if they told me not to, I'd still go❗
This is no time to be worrying about my physical condition.
It's only about a 4-hour job, so if I take some painkillers, I should be able to manage.
So I applied and was successfully hired🙌
From interacting with children the day before to working in the nightlife world.
This range of experiences is ecstasy.
And so, the day arrived, and I headed to the bustling streets of Osaka.

From the speakers of the store monitors,
'Parira, parira, parira, fu-fu❗'
'I'm the number one in the group❗'
Even though it was daytime, the calls were echoing endlessly.
While I was waiting in a suspicious-looking building like that, a young woman came over.
It seems this woman was the person in charge for the day.
And she took me to an office inside the suspicious building.

Then, the explanation of today's work.
Today's tasks were cleaning up champagne towers at contracted stores, transporting new glasses, and decorating the stores; it seems this is a company related to store decoration.
We immediately went to the workshop, and while rolling a cart loaded with washed glasses, we headed to the contracted stores.

After walking for a while, we arrived at a host club.
Alright❗
I've successfully infiltrated a host club❗❗
It's not often you get to actually enter the various interiors I've seen in videos.
The woman unlocked the door, and as we entered the empty store, there were the remains of a champagne tower that reminded me of last night's wild party...

I had to put these wine glasses into crates, but they smelled so strongly of champagne.
Is it Christmas or something🤣
(↑To me, the smell of champagne is Christmas🎄)
Then, after disposing of the leftover liquid and cleaning up, we started bringing in new glasses.
Apparently, a separate team would come later to build the champagne towers and do the decorations.
I went around to several stores like this, but outside it was still over 30°C and so hot🥵
Well, I had anticipated that and wore an air-conditioned jacket, which was a great decision✌️
I also had fun chatting with the woman while rolling the cart and we became friends, so honestly, it was fun😆

Along the way, a guy covered in tattoos gave me a sports drink, and all the staff were very kind.
And when the cleanup was finished, I got a call for help from the separate team, and when I went over, there was a beautiful champagne tower😳

I wanted to try making a tower too, but I guess that's impossible for a day laborer...
So, I helped with cleaning the surrounding area while the woman was decorating.
I was terrified that the tower would collapse if I shook the stand.
I even got to go inside the counter to wash hand towels, which was a valuable experience.
You can't see sights like this unless you become a host, after all😆

Well, when you think about it, at night, hundreds of thousands or millions of yen in cash must be flying around in this store💸
And here I am working at such a store for about 1000 yen an hour...
It's fine, it's fine.
It satisfies my masochistic side🤣
Sometimes I fantasize about what it would be like if I were born handsome and worked in this nightlife world, but working for a little over 1000 yen an hour while having a blast is plenty fun, so I'm happy as I am.
Once the work related to the champagne tower was finished, I went to the next workspace to create decorations.
You know, those glittering balloons and alphabet signs that are used to decorate parties for party animals.
This work was comfortable because the air conditioning was on.

Sadly, I'm not a party animal at all, and I've never touched or made anything like this before, so I had a young lady teach me step-by-step.
Alright, now that I've learned how to make them, I can become a party animal anytime from now on too😂
Though I did end up popping a few by putting too much air in them...
Still, I can't help but feel a little bad that balloons made by an old guy like me will be decorating some host club tonight💦
With that, the time came and my shift was over.
Man, that was fun!
It's great to see things you don't usually see and learn tasks you've never done before, isn't it?
And I didn't know that things like champagne towers and cleaning are often outsourced—I had no idea.
The staff looked a bit intimidating at first glance, but they were actually very friendly and kind when I talked to them, so that was good.
This daytime job that supports the nightlife world was a very valuable experience, and I feel like it added a glittering page to my own life as well🙌
