A Second Comment, and I Shed Tears
When I saw it, tears unexpectedly welled up in my eyes. I was out and about, sitting by myself, and unable to hold back the emotion that surged up, I pretended to wipe away sweat while actually wiping my eyes.
It was a second comment from the same person on one of my posts. By the same person, I mean Haine-san, who follows me and is also with me in the Essay no Machi circle, Haine-san.
What I had posted about was the topic of putting children to bed. I wrote about the changes in bedtime routines as they grow older, which brings a touch of sadness.
I wrote about how I decided on a bedtime routine out of the feeling that many parents have experienced (or are experiencing)—'If you're sleepy, why don't you just go to sleep without crying?'—and about the changes in putting my children to bed.
On that post, I received warm comments from everyone, including Haine-san, who said, 'I want to write an article like this.' Thank you all very much.
You told me it brought back memories, which was encouraging, and it felt like we shared that sense of sadness, so I felt glad that I had written it.
Suddenly, I got a notification for a second comment from Haine-san. When I scrolled to the comment section, there was a correction to the first comment—I thought, 'You didn't have to go that far'—and then a topic about a different post was written there.
That post was the one I wrote last month about a 'mobile vendor.' Since I had written that I wanted to submit it to a contest, perhaps I was trying a bit too hard, or maybe the timing of the post was off, but it was actually an article that hadn't been read as much as usual.
However, I received sincere comments from those who did read it, and for me, it was a post I was satisfied with. Thank you for that time.
And then, Haine-san told me that she had read this post, and that because of it, she had asked for a mobile vendor truck to be called to the facility where her family member resides! And she even gave me the happy news that it had been approved!
I never intended for the article to have that kind of impact (I had just carefully written down my own memories), so I was surprised that it had the power to be read, to move someone's heart, and even to move someone to take action.
Above all, Haine-san, who took action for her family based on this post as a hint, is wonderful. I was so happy to be told that, and I was overcome with emotion.
As I wrote in the post, I believe that hesitating and choosing while shopping leads to a person realizing their presence in society, and also helps others discover that social nature.
There were many moments where I realized, 'Is hesitating this much fun!' and a place to empathize with the feeling that 'shopping is fun after all, isn't it!' was a time more valuable than I had imagined. Even remembering it now, I feel very uplifted.
I will post the comment just as it is. Note is amazing, isn't it? It was a very, very happy moment to realize that such things can happen.

Even reading it now, tears come to my eyes. In particular, the last sentence made my heart tremble.
May you, oh may you, have a wonderful shopping experience.
I have seen in various people's posts that essays can become a light and wings for someone, but I never imagined it would happen to me... it's like a dream.
I hope to keep writing so that you all can continue to take me to far-off places. Hione-san, thank you once again!
