Lost in the Moment💞 (Creative & Sewing)
My daughter is currently hospitalized, and I am all alone at home.
It's my first day off in a while, but since I'm by myself, I spent the morning tidying up my daughter's room.
She had asked me to clean it up for her, so I worked hard at it.
She loves books, so her bookshelf is completely full🈵.
I picked up each book one by one and wiped down every little item with a dry cloth♪
Hmm!
She's a girl, after all!
She has so many cute little things🈵💞
Even though I started out just wiping things down, there's no doubt I'm the one feeling refreshed by it♪
The room is clean now,
and since the tidying is done...
It's coffee time♪☕︎
Spending time relaxing while listening to my favorite music.
(And maybe having some cake🍰 while I'm at it!)
In the afternoon, I thought I'd do a little sewing, so it's time to stitch away!
I made a smartphone pouch out of a kimono obi.
It's a small pouch just for holding a phone and some cards♪
13cm wide and 18.5cm high.
For the strap, I used some braided cord I had in the house (that I'd bought in advance).
How did it turn out?
Here it is💁♀️!
For the mesh part, I sewed on a small pouch I bought at a 100-yen shop.
On the back, I made the most of the original 'taiko' pattern.
The obi fabric is all sparkly🌟💖🌟
When I put the scissors✂️ to it, gold dust and thread scraps🧵 dyed the area in gold♪
Actually...
I got this obi fabric for a bargain at a kimono shop♪

But... is it just for me?
No!
I made one for my daughter, too, of course〜💞
I made a bag using a 'noren' curtain I bought at Daiso.
It has an 'Alice in Wonderland' pattern and is super cute♪💕
I chose a very girly fabric💞
I even put a base plate inside...
This holds quite a lot, doesn't it🎵
30cm wide, 25cm high
I made pockets on the inside and outside.
And guess what! For those pockets❣️
For summer use, I even made a pocket to hold a "folding fan🪭"!
Don't you think a pocket for a folding fan is convenient?
Folding fans tend to sink to the bottom, don't they?
They're easy to lose track of inside your bag, right?
I wonder if they'll be happy when they get out of the hospital?
