✈️ New Year's Trip ~New Year's Eve Edition~ The first morning we spent together
1. New Year's Eve
On New Year's Eve, we went to "Bugeigawa Onsen" ♨️
Usually, I spend New Year's Eve relaxing at home, but since it was the first time I was spending it with my boyfriend, we decided to go to a hot spring.
Perhaps because it was New Year's Eve, the facility was very crowded. I guess everyone wants to spend this day relaxing, right? 🤔
I thought it was my own brilliant idea, too (lol).
For lunch, I had the miso-katsu stew set meal 😋
It was piping hot and I burned myself a little, but it was delicious nonetheless.

Once we were full, we went to the bedrock bath.
The bedrock bath was also incredibly crowded, and it was my first time experiencing having to wait in line outside 😳
We weren't in any rush, so we were able to spend time waiting leisurely.
It's nice when you have time to spare, as it naturally gives you peace of mind too 👍
We were satisfied after about 3 to 4 sessions in the bedrock bath, so we went to the hot spring baths after that.
The baths had a wide variety of options and were spacious, so we were able to relax.
Even when we went out to the open-air bath, it wasn't as cold as I thought, and I was reminded once again of the joys of winter hot springs.
After getting out of the bath, we went shopping to have a New Year's Eve party 🥳
We ate sushi, roast beef, and other things, drank some alcohol, and rang in the New Year together 🙌
I like going out somewhere together, but
I also really love the time spent relaxing at home at night, enjoying some drinks 🥰
I thought once again that I would love to keep spending our time peacefully like this.
With that, we did the New Year's countdown and went to bed to prepare for the early morning.
This year, I had plans to see the first sunrise of the year for the first time in my life.
2. New Year's Day
I woke up while it was still dark outside, and while rubbing my sleepy eyes, I put on warm clothes and got ready to go out 😤
We walked to the observatory in a park near our house and waited for the first sunrise 🌅
While waiting, we spent time with an older couple and some other elderly people.
The elderly person said they visit this place every day,
and they told us the names of the mountains, making for a peaceful time.
I'm shy, so I couldn't really join in the conversation much, though... 😔
While spending time like that, I saw the first sunrise of my life.
Even though I had been waiting outside for a long time and felt cold, the moment the first sunrise appeared, I felt like even my heart warmed up.
I felt very happy ☺️

After returning home, I got into bed to warm up my chilled body.
Going back to sleep was also a very happy time 😂
After that, we spent time relaxing at home while talking about things we want to do this year.
Seeing the first sunrise,
I felt like the new year had begun quietly.
I hope to cherish each day without rushing or pushing myself too hard 🫶
