Decluttering my smartphone for a device upgrade
I'm Momo, a company employee and mother of three.
I've decided to upgrade my smartphone.
Some apps require special procedures, which is a bit of a hassle, isn't it?
First, I'll check those, and since I'm at it, I've decided to review what's on my phone and declutter.
First, check the apps that require action when changing devices
You need to be careful because banking apps, Suica, LINE, and other apps where you want to transfer data sometimes require you to perform steps on the old device.
I'm checking my apps one by one and searching on Google for things like "[Bank Name] app device change" to confirm.
(This is so tedious...!)
It's mainly apps related to money.
Also, it seems some apps, like LINE settings and game apps, require transfer procedures as well.
Let's take it one step at a time.
Delete unused apps
While checking my apps, I'm discovering a lot of things I didn't even realize I had installed, or that I haven't used in a while.
If I haven't used it for a while, I won't be using it in the future either.
I'll delete them without hesitation.
After all, you can always reinstall the apps themselves as many times as you want.
Just make sure to check if there is any data remaining inside the apps.
If possible, photos and notes too
The apps that hoard data like black holes are the photo and notepad apps.
It's become a real mess while I've been throwing everything into them, hasn't it?
I've decided to take this opportunity to move the photos and videos I want to keep to a hard drive, but the problem is the notepad.
I'm drafting this article in my notepad too, so I actually have a mountain of note articles left over (lol).
I really need to quickly delete the ones I've already uploaded.
This is also steady, painstaking work...
I wouldn't get around to it if it weren't for an opportunity like this, so I'll give it a try.
Cherishing the excitement of a device upgrade
In the past, you didn't need to configure apps; you just extracted and transferred the data. While things have become more convenient, device upgrades now require more steps.
It's a hassle and makes me feel reluctant, but getting something new is supposed to be an exciting and thrilling experience, right?
I need to get more excited about it!
(It is a very expensive purchase, after all!!)
I've chosen a new case and also bought a wireless charger to debut with this one.
The screen protector is ready to go, too.
They say the new device will arrive in just two days.
Amazing.
I won't make it in time (lol)
I want to enjoy the process, including all the tedious parts, since I'm at it.
Thank you for reading until the end.
