[Osaka] True View of Kawaguchi

The Tosabori River, Dojima River, and Shijimi River merge into three streams, and here they branch off; one flows west into the Aji River, and one flows south into the Kizu River. This illustration shows the branching point of the Kizu River, where the official boat guard station is located, and where departing and arriving ships are inspected day and night.
The scenery in this vicinity is exquisite; it goes without saying that it is beautiful in the rain or snow, but especially on moonlit nights, the shadows of lush old pine trees are cast upon the water, and the boat songs of fishing boats passing through to Zakoba and the voices of the boatmen echo in the river breeze, creating a sense of tranquility that is beyond description.
