The handle is made of round bamboo, and it is a persimmon-tannin fan. There are various sizes. It is a famous product, presented to nobles and high-ranking families, and it is also a fan appreciated by farmers, artisans, merchants, and shoppers.
Washu Nara Uchiwa is also a famous product. Koyama focuses on durability, while Nara prioritizes elegance. Besides these, there are many such crafts in Kyoto and Osaka as well.
Hizen Ogi Uchiwa is also a famous local product. On June 15th, the Gion Festival is held here. Visitors to the shrine always buy them as souvenirs to give as gifts to neighbors and acquaintances.
