Grand monologues are fun
I read Shogo Kakiuchi's diary entry from March 15, 2023.
Here👇
In this diary entry, something like this was written.
I write my diary every day with the attitude of 'Hey, listen to this!!' If people can read it as if I'm endlessly chatting about trivial things in a corner of a classroom, at a food court while taking a detour, or in casual late-night messages, that would be the best, and I fully understand that it might be creepy or make people think 'I don't care.' But I write believing that there is someone listening and nodding along, and although it's rare for that pleasant nodding to be returned to me in its original form, I can write the next diary entry because I trust that it is indeed happening somewhere.
I thought this was really great.
I don't know if this 'Listen to me!' reaches anyone.
But even so, Mr. Kakiuchi wrote in his diary that he reads books and writes sentences as if he were having a conversation, and I felt deeply that this spirit is wonderful.
I myself write these grand monologues here on note, and when I first started note, I never thought these monologues would be read at all.
I was just writing down what I thought, but before I knew it, the number of people following me increased, and I started receiving comments. I felt very grateful, realizing that there are people who read my work.
While savoring this gratitude every day, two years have passed since I started writing on note.
During these two years, I have experienced the hardships of writing, but writing is still fun, and I realized that I must have had a strong feeling of 'Hey, listen to this!!' just like Mr. Kakiuchi.
Grand monologues are fun.

My recent reading has been Mr. Kakiuchi's diary books.

I love Mr. Kakiuchi's diary books, and when I found out that a new one would be released in April, I hurriedly pre-ordered it. But I wanted to read his diaries so much that I am currently re-reading the books that were released previously. They are as wonderful as ever.
I've thought this for a while, but although Mr. Kakiuchi calls himself the 'number one amateur in town,' when I read these diary books, I just can't think of him as an amateur.
It might be because he is a book lover, and I think his way of analyzing things is unique, but I wonder.
Or perhaps, do ordinary people read this many books and think about so many things?
If that's the case, my idea of an 'amateur' might be wrong. That seems more likely now.
In any case, I am looking forward to Mr. Kakiuchi's diary book coming out in April.
It seems to be a very thick book, which makes me incredibly happy.
February and March were months where I had some down moments, but I will live looking forward to this book being released in April.
I pre-ordered it here👆.
I would like to buy it at a store if possible, but when I looked up bookstores that carry it, I found out that the closest one is four hours away. I easily opted for delivery.
I envy people in the city who have bookstores nearby that carry it.
