On the difficulty of keeping up with note for a long time
As of today, it has been 3 years and 3 months since I started note. The reason I am writing this article now is that I have reached 3,000 followers, which was a quiet goal of mine.
I am aware that some accounts are no longer active, but this is something I could not have imagined when I started, and it is entirely thanks to those who follow me and those who read my work.
Thank you💓
I haven't written many how-to articles about note, so I decided to write one ♫
What I think is necessary to keep going on note
❶ Find articles you look forward to reading
I think note is first and foremost something to read and enjoy. I like articles about English, music, and spirituality, so there are people whose articles I look forward to reading every time. There are also people whose essays and novels I look forward to. And of course, it is very fun to read articles by people you have gotten to know.
There are many people I interacted with in the early days whom I no longer see around. In that sense, having people who started at the same time as me is truly reassuring. I wonder how the ghostwriter... is doing?
❷ Find your own pace and post articles
In my first year, I posted on Mondays and Fridays, so the number of articles was extremely low compared to now, but I think that was fine until I found a pace that balanced work, housework, note, and public submissions. A pace that doesn't strain you is best.
❸ Try gradually digging deeper into things you are interested in
I think being able to feel that your note is growing year by year can lead to increased motivation.
Whether it's increasing your expertise, broadening your scope, or deepening your knowledge, I think any progress or growth that you can recognize yourself is good.
❹ Try to interact in a way that doesn't strain you
Interaction on note is a bit different from real-life interaction because it connects directly with the other person's 'thoughts', so it becomes an interaction that is actually deeper than in real life. That is precisely why a pace of interaction that suits you is important.
In my case, I am busy with work and housework on weekdays, so I cannot comment much. For that reason, I tend to leave a few comments on the weekends. I have a tendency to leave comments for the same people 🤭✨
Isn't it better to keep it in line with your own capacity for interaction?
❺ What if a misunderstanding occurs?
There are limits to communicating intentions when people who don't know each other's faces interact only through text. Sometimes, intentions are not conveyed well, leading to friction, or misunderstandings arise because the other person's policy is not well understood.
If you consider that person an important companion, it is important to 'convey your sincerity.' Perhaps interaction will resume again someday.
However, if you feel that the person 'doesn't suit you,' keeping your distance is also something to consider.
I think it is best to base your standards for interaction on your own judgment.
❻ What if you don't understand a comment?
If someone leaves comments often but you feel bad every time you read them, you can tolerate it to a certain extent, but if it becomes unbearable, it is necessary to summon the courage to say, "It makes me uncomfortable when you say things like that."
In particular, it is not a bad thing to speak up about articles that you hold dear. I believe it is a matter of "protecting your own values."
If you do speak up and the other person leaves, it cannot be helped.
(Don't worry, this isn't about you / I'm talking about people who post links telling you to read their novels or ask you to follow them.)
Conversely, it is also necessary to keep in the back of your mind that you could be in a position where you make others feel uncomfortable. Even if you are blocked, it is essential to "not let it bother you." After all, you don't need to be liked by everyone.
note is a space to "enjoy creation"!
Isn't it a place to enjoy meeting people with various personalities?
In other words, both you and I
could be called "eccentric."🤭✨
is questionable, but let's wrap things up here!
