Forms of Life
Just as a swimmer studies and adjusts their swimming form,
I wish I could study and correct the form of my life as well.
There was a swimmer who said
they swim with the image of
not extending their fingertips straight,
but daring to bend them slightly
to catch the water while slipping through it.
Everyone has their own way of swimming,
and a standard form
is not necessarily right for everyone.
Finding a form that suits you is difficult,
and even getting close to the form
you imagine for yourself is hard.
However,
even if there are times when you just float and drift,
I want to swim toward my destination
while enjoying the detours and breaks along the way.
Whether you choose to fix your swimming habits
or try to embrace them
is up to each individual.
Life is not about speed or efficiency,
but rather,
I feel it is more important
to consider how much you have cherished yourself,
tasted various emotions, and appreciated and valued those around youthroughout your life.
