DAY 18: Children's Art Exhibition Connecting to the Future
⸻
I've been thinking about posting on note, but the words just won't come. At times like that, when I happen to look up, my eyes catch a picture hanging on the living room wall. It's a drawing my second son, now 30, made when he was in second grade.
It's a little awkward, but the use of color is free, and I still love that picture because you can tell he had fun drawing it (please forgive a proud parent).
Every time I look at it, I strangely feel energized.
And now, as a member of a volunteer group, I am a staff member for an exhibition that collects works by elementary school students called
“Children's Art Exhibition Connecting to the Future.”
What I feel through these activities is that, more than skill, how much a child enjoyed drawing shows in their work. It is the pieces drawn with genuine excitement that move people's hearts and are chosen as prize-winning works.
Seeing such works always gives me a lot of energy.
May the potential of such children continue into the future.
Well, that's all for today.
Good night⭐✨
