Books, wine, and a night with 15 people. A report on our wine book club!
Hello, this is the manager of the Mochi-Mochi Library📚
On the night of June 30th, we held our "Books and Wine Evening Vol. 2" at Kizuki Kitchen🍷

The temperature was 28 degrees Celsius that day.
Since the cloudy sky softened the sunlight, it wasn't stifling to walk outside, making it a perfect day for an evening event🌙
This time, we collaborated with the owner of Kizuki Kitchen, who is the owner of bookshelf A-2 and the parent organization of the Mochi-Mochi Library.

We had a capacity of 10 people, but when we opened the doors, 15 people showed up!🌱
Several people even came specifically for the food, saying they "couldn't wait for the homemade dishes that go well with wine"✨
Looking at the faces of the participants, I felt a warm sense of how much Kizuki Kitchen is loved in Motosumiyoshi.
These were the wines lined up on the table tonight.

House wine (red and white)
Special selection wine (red and white)
Two types of non-alcoholic sparkling grape juice, red and white✨
We wanted to create a space where everyone could enjoy themselves, whether they drink or not, so our collaborator selected these non-alcoholic options as well🍇
For light snacks, we had:
Ratatouille
Chicken ham
Purple cabbage rape
Dried tomato and carrot rape...
All of these were handmade by Kizuki Kitchen, and just having them near the wine completely transformed the atmosphere of the dining table✨

Along with such delicious homemade food, it was time for reading and sharing our thoughts.
We usually share our thoughts individually, but due to the number of participants, everyone enjoyed it at their own tables, so this report is mainly photos📷📚

There were 20 books in total brought by the participants.
There were mysteries, essays, cookbooks, picture books, and guidebooks.

・You Killed Someone
・The Witch of the West is Dead
・Rotating While Revolving
・The Master and Margarita
・Cooking and Altruism
・The Backside of Food
・Social Prescriptions for Everyone
・Alice, Even to the Universe
・The Complete Malta Guidebook
The fun of this book club is that you never know where the conversation will go✨

People of all ages, from their 20s to their 60s, gathered, yet they had completely different perspectives on the same books.
That, in turn, became a catalyst for dialogue.

The flow and depth of the conversation varied by group, and I found myself curious about the laughter coming from other tables.
Asking each other "What were you talking about over there?" after it was over was one of the pleasant lingering memories of the night.

The atmosphere of the wine book club is a little different from our usual regular meetings.
There is time to talk, and there is time to quietly focus on books🍽
I think the beauty of this format is that everyone can face their books at their own pace while tilting their glasses📚

This was the second time we held this event.
I hope to plan another one around a year from now✨
Thank you to the 15 people who came!
Surrounded by the atmosphere of Kizuki Kitchen, delicious food, and unfamiliar books, I also had a very enjoyable time🍷

I've started a question box!
