27 years old, until I got endometrial cancer ① My life so far

Good evening, I'm Pima. I secretly changed my name. This is the nickname I'm actually called by, so I feel like it fits me well.

Thank you to everyone who read my first note. I was very happy to receive your likes and follows.

In future notes, I plan to write not only about cancer but also about how my life stages are changing. (Though I think it will be slow.)

If reading this becomes painful for you, please feel free to unfollow or block me.

When I was in a difficult situation, I had the experience of seeing posts from friends in different life stages and feeling distressed, so I blocked many people. Please, prioritize your own feelings above all else.

This time, I would like to look back chronologically at my life up until I had to face cancer.

My life so far

・Menstruation started around age 10. Periods were long.

・In college, I had my regular clinic prescribe me birth control pills.

・A doctor told me, "Your endometrium is thick, so if you don't keep taking the pill, there's a possibility you'll get endometrial cancer in the future." (I didn't remember this, but it was in my mother's notes. I heard it from her a few years ago.)

・Junior year of college, I was told I had a polyp in my uterus. I was referred to a general hospital and had a hysteroscopy. As a result, the polyp was gone.

・After graduating from college, I worked as a nurse. I took the pill when I first started working, but I got busy and stopped taking it. My periods were regular. I was going to hot yoga.

・From around August 2019, I had irregular bleeding, so I visited my regular clinic and took the pill.

・November 2019: The irregular bleeding didn't stop, so I had a hysteroscopy at a general hospital. I was told I had a polyp.

・January 2020: Had an endometrial curettage performed. Diagnosed with complex atypical endometrial hyperplasia. Started MPA therapy. I was 25 at the time.

・April and July 2020: Had endometrial curettage performed.

・August 2020: Remission, MPA therapy ended. I took the pill to prevent recurrence, but since I had two heavy periods a month and it was painful, I stopped taking it in April 2021 and remained untreated.

・August 2021: Cleared the endometrial cancer screening.

・After this, it continues to recurrence, diagnosis of endometrial cancer, fertility treatment, diagnosis of recurrent pregnancy loss, and pregnancy/childbirth.

This is roughly what I was like before I got endometrial cancer.

I've liked ice since I was little and ate it often. Thinking back now, I think I had pagophagia.Anemia was present, so I sometimes wonder if things would have been different if I had faced my body's condition sooner.

Once my period started, it wouldn't end easily, and I had many painful experiences.

When I was in the first year of junior high, there was a urine test at school, but because my periods were so long, I kept failing the test for occult blood in urine, and I remember it being painful to be called by the teacher every time and told to take the test again.

I even collapsed during club activities due to anemia.

It's a strange story, but when I was a child, I thought, "I will get sick at 27. I might not be able to have children." I still don't know why I thought about such things since I was a child.

But when I was told I had cancer, that memory suddenly came back, and I remember thinking, "It really happened."

Next time, I plan to write in more detail about complex atypical endometrial hyperplasia.

As an aside... I love Ousu no Sato's plum garlic, and I ordered a lot for the first time in a while. Just seeing the words "plum garlic" makes my mouth water, and when I eat it, I feel full of energy. I recommend it to anyone who wants to boost their energy.
