Continuing Creative Work for a Long Time
To be honest, I don't clearly remember when I debuted or started my activities, but I think it was probably about 15 years ago.
I never thought I would be able to keep going this long, and the fact that I have is almost entirely thanks to my fans and clients.
As someone who has been at this for a while, I've recently noticed many things that have moved me, so I wanted to share them.
I hope this serves as encouragement for those who are struggling or not seeing the results they want.
Recently, with the development of AI,
the flow of the times, trends, and the amount of time people remain interested in content have become extremely short.
I think this has had a significant impact on both listeners and creators.
We often see songs structured with high-impact developments to cater to people with dopamine addiction, shorter track lengths, and video content designed to make a strong impression in the first second to match short-form video algorithms...
As the flow of time accelerates like this,
I think creators have a tendency to unconsciously demand results too quickly.
I made a song I'm confident in!

It's not growing at all as expected (based on results after about a week)

I have no talent

I'm quitting (after half a year)
Well, I wrote that quite extremely,
but when successful, popular creators flood social media,
I see many people conclude in a very short time that they are no good and wonder why they aren't growing, leading them to quit.
I also feel down periodically when I see that (algorithm brainwashing is scary).
However, I personally believe that creative activity is about the accumulation of content and experience over a long period, which makes an artist more attractive.
To use my own example,
More than 10 years after I participated in a series called Anime Trance when I was just starting out, fans have told me,
"
I listened to this when I was a child! That CD was my roots, and it led me to get interested in dance music and start DJing."or
"
I really love the song you made back then called XX; I spent my youth listening to it.""
I started making music after watching your YouTube tutorials."
Hearing things like this,
where something I did became a catalyst or resonated with someone,
and knowing I've influenced someone's life makes me truly happy,
and it is a fact that these kinds of unimaginable events increase the longer you continue your activities.
Creative work, not just in music, is often very difficult, but there are many moving experiences waiting for you if you keep at it for a long time.
Creators, please imagine that future, and fans, please tell the creators how you feel. (Support your favorites while you can.)
If you do that, I believe even more wonderful works will be born.
