I feel a sense of 'standing still' when indulging in my hobbies, but that is also mindfulness. It can't be helped ^^

Hello, this is Mikotonoha.
I will continue to enjoy one of my hobbies, Gunpla, in 2024 as well ^^

However, lately, I've been feeling a bit troubled while building Gunpla.
The reason is that among my several hobbies, Gunpla is positioned as 'mindfulness' for me.

During the day, I work and interact with society, and while my time with my wife at home is enjoyable, my Gunpla building also serves the purpose of 'focusing on my own time and enjoying it without thinking about anything else.'

That purpose is being fully met.
I work silently for an hour or two, and when I clean up and go to bed, just by imagining 'what should I do for the next step,' I can fall asleep faster than Nobita-kun ^^

However, because it takes up time in the middle of the night, I wake up a bit groggy the next morning... and I sometimes worry if it's hindering me from spending time on my other hobbies.

Even if my Gunpla building skills improve, I won't become a professional modeler, nor do I intend to, and it's not helping anyone or earning me any money.

It is difficult to utilize limited time in a way that you are satisfied with.
While I value the mindfulness that Gunpla provides, I might be placing more weight on my own growth and future entrepreneurship (work) in terms of priorities.

Even so, I will build. Even if Gunpla shrinks a little in the pie chart of my life, it remains fun, and I feel that travel, reading, visiting shrines and temples, entrepreneurship, and posting are all necessary.

What is important is to always ask yourself questions.
To brush up.

With that said, this is what I will be building this time.
The HG Full Armor Gundam that I got from Premium Bandai in February 2023!

...One year. I really let it sit, didn't I? lol

For those of us in the prime generation of Comic BomBom and CoroCoro Comic, the miraculous phrase 'Full Armor' makes our hearts dance, surely (sweat)!

Trial assembly. I can enjoy some good drinks for two days with just this lol

It's boring to just build it as is, so I think I'll do some 'mad remodeling' and do as I please!

Shields, weapons, cannons, and propellant tanks too!

I tried making it Full Armor.

If I just moved forward to completion now, I could clear out my backlog of unbuilt kits and make enough progress to avoid getting scolded by my wife...

This is where the real work begins. It's tough (sweat).

I really did a lot, lol.

With that said, the drinks go down smoothly again ^^
I also casually painted the standard Gundam in a Real Type color style.

And then, assemble and complete!

Complete, the full-armor Gundam for mid-range support with everything attached!

I painted the parts that are usually yellow or orange with Char pink, but the pink look faded significantly after weathering (T_T)

I really like the balance of the overall view, and I'm satisfied with how it turned out!

I borrowed propellant tanks from a 30MM kit for the backpack, turning it into a large mobile suit! My imagination ran wild and my inner chuunibyou is acting up lol.

When taking close-ups, the head is smaller than I thought and it's a bit too massive, but as the first kit of 2024, I'm very satisfied!

After all, mindfulness through Gunpla building is necessary for me. There will be times when I get lost, worry, and spend time on other hobbies, but I still cherish this time of mindfulness, so I want to face my hobbies in a way that keeps me smiling.

I wonder what I should build next.
Since I built a heavily armed Gundam, maybe it's time for its bright red rival to take the stage ^^
