Hotel Review: ANA Crowne Plaza Hiroshima

On a weekday when I was happy to see rain for the first time in a while,
I went to Hiroshima on a business trip.

The biting cold season has passed,
and I no longer shiver even when I get wet in the rain.

The hotel I happened to be able to stay at within my company's budget this time was the ANA Crowne Plaza Hiroshima.
Based on my experience staying here,
I would like to write a brief review.

Please note that these are just my personal impressions,
so please keep that in mind.

This wonderful hotel, which includes a 24-hour gym, also has an impressive appearance!

Prices in city centers like Osaka, Kyoto, and Fukuoka have skyrocketed, but perhaps because it is away from Hiroshima Station, the price is still reasonable and pleasant.

In the first place, I feel that Hiroshima has a similar impression to Kyoto regarding its station (hotels around the station are expensive, but there is nothing there), so I think the right way to enjoy it is to use the Hiroshima Electric Railway, which costs 240 yen one way for all lines.

A hotel with a garden-like entrance
is enough to get me excited.

Along with the entrance, the spaciousness and luxury of the lobby
also heighten the feeling of staying at that hotel.

The season is just before spring, and the decor is already set for spring.

I always try to leave the room as clean as possible, so I took a picture to see if it still looked like it did when I checked in.

As for the functionality, it is as follows.

The pillows were fluffy and just the type I like,
but the duvet was thin and the bed might be a little narrow.

One thing that bothered me a little was the drink situation.
You get one bottle of mineral water.

Other than that, there is only instant coffee and a cup, and the only glass for cold drinks is
one in the washroom.

The washroom, huh...
Well, I'll use it, though.

Also, I believe the TV only has terrestrial channels,
so you cannot watch YouTube.

The pajamas are not a two-piece set,
so please be aware of that.

There are 7 outlets if you plug and unplug them,
and 1 by the bed.

The air conditioning is not centrally controlled,
so you can change the temperature... but it is undeniably dry.

It is a unit bath, but it is spacious.
Personally, it bothers me that
the body soap doesn't lather well...

The shower pressure is good.
The temperature display for the bathtub is a bit off,
so it takes a moment to get used to, but you can adapt quickly.

I was on the 11th floor,
but since there are buildings all around,
you cannot expect much of a view.

After a good night's sleep, breakfast.

They put effort into Hiroshima-style dishes,
but on the other hand, there are fewer types of standard side dishes.

They make rice balls for you,
make omelets to order,
and I believe there is also ramen in limited quantities.

Overall, I really enjoyed it!

This is not directly related to the hotel, but
there is a shrine right next door,

Hiroshima's Shirakami Shrine.
What I thought was amazing was that when visiting,
a priest was waiting and waved an o-nusa (purification wand) over me.

This was a pleasant surprise!
If you are in the area, everyone should definitely visit!

Conclusion:
Although a certain degree of age is undeniable,
it was a lovely hotel that carefully maintains comfort
while properly keeping up with the times.

If I have the chance, I would like to stay here again.
