There was a morning when these words by Mitsuo Aida suddenly came to my mind.

For the first time in a while, I had a dream about the president of a hobby group I used to be involved with.
Actually, we had a bit of an awkward parting...


In the dream,
we met by chance as if passing each other at some event—
There was some awkwardness, but we were speaking in a calm tone.

Even though it was a dream, I was somewhat composed,
and when I woke up, I gave a bitter smile, thinking, "Wow, that really came up..."

Even so, something must have been stirring deep in my heart.


Lately, for some reason, I've been prone to tears.
Even when I hear something, my chest suddenly tightens,
and everything seems to touch my heartstrings.

It's as if the lock on a drawer deep in my heart has gently opened,
and from there, "soft pastel pink tears"
are spilling out every day.

It was at such a time that I received a warm message from Nagi-san.

......Tears streamed down my face.

But those tears were by no means painful;
I could only say one thing: "I am grateful"—

that was the only word that came out.

"Grateful" is a very simple word when spoken, but
when one feels it from the heart, one surely becomes very deep and kind.

It's not just Nagi-san.
The words, presence, smiles, and every single "like" from everyone I've connected with on note
gently light a lamp in my heart.

Lately, I've been surprisingly prone to tears, but
I think that is also who I am right now.

Eyes washed by tears
may indeed become clear and deep.

Having a heart that can cry.
Having emotions that sway.
All of that is proof of being alive.
