Not to understand everything, but to share: Exchange Notebook 020

This is as far as it goes.

From there on, it's up to you.

This is as far as I can handle.

What we (right now) can cherish is,

only up to that point, isn't it?

In that way,

it is something for drawing boundaries.

Perhaps,

if we peel off the roles we've taken on,

one by one,

Perhaps words exist

to separate things from "everything else."

That is what I think. I feel that way.

If I say it like that,

it might sound a little cold,

but strangely, I myself

do not really have

a negative impression of that.

The moment I put it into words,

I think I am surely letting goof expressing the whole of "that thing."

I believe that is the case.

It's like a spotlight.

A single beam of light,

instead of illuminating everything,

makes the area outside it darker.

"Just a few words",

is surely similar to that.

If you want to handle,

the whole picture at once,

you either increase the number of lights,

or widen the reach of the light.

Or perhaps,

rather,

not shining any light at all

might be an option too.

That is why I,

use words to divide

on some days,and

hoping not to drift too far apart,

try layering wordson others.

Using many lights,

to illuminate it little by little.

The range the light reaches,

to slowly expand.

Even so,

there will surely be things,

that simply cannot be fully lit.

The more we talk,

the closer we may get,but.

There are also scenes that can only,

be preserved by not speaking..

So,

today's words, too,

are not meant to understand everything,

but perhaps to walk together

to the vicinity of that scenery.
