I actually work in web design. Let me introduce myself and explain why I focus on cooking.

I'm Kazumi Koda.
Every day, I test sustainable ways to attract customers by combining AI and marketing. In this note, I focus on the 'concepts of web marketing'—something we've all heard of, but often remain vague about how to actually use. Based on my practical experience in the field and my own personal experiments, I've compiled these thoughts in the most down-to-earth language possible.

A note that grew without going viral. The reason wasn't writing skill. The reason I went from zero to 1,000 followers in 30 days ➡ Read the rest in my newsletter.

From the intersection of cooking, content creation, and business
What I've come to see

It has been 47 days since I started this note.
It's a bit late for this, but let me introduce myself briefly.

My main job is as a web designer. I work on structuring 'how to communicate' a client's business using WordPress.
Web design isn't just about making things look pretty; it's about designing 'what combination of tools, in what order, and with what words and visuals will ensure the message actually reaches the audience?'

When I look at cooking posts from that perspective on note, I find myself drawn to them. The choice of words, the composition of the photos, the way titles are crafted... I feel that all of these are 'tricks of communication' and are full of hints for content creation.

Why I started this note

Recipes, plating, and the words in a post are all part of 'cooking'.
I started thinking this way because of the voices of my clients and friends who are culinary experts.

'Developing recipes, live streaming, editing videos, taking photos... there is just so much to do, it's overwhelming,' they all said in unison.

How can we deliver the charm of cooking in a way that is more sustainable, yet still thoughtful and effective? Is there a solution? That is why I started this note.

I thought note was a place for
observation and experimentation on 'how to communicate cooking,' but

Cooking might be like a letter to the body and soul.
For some, it is a household chore; for others, a hobby; and for some, it is their very profession.

Thinking about such multifaceted activities from the slightly shifted angle of 'content creation' is my challenge with this note.

To make your recipes and cooking posts more authentic, more thoughtful, and reach more people, I am writing down hints one by one, incorporating marketing, psychology, and web design perspectives, so that you can think,'It's okay to think about content creation this way.'

Both content creation and cooking
have their flavor determined by 'structure' and 'sequence'

The concepts I often use in my web work—'in what order' and 'in what way' to deliver something—are surprisingly similar to cooking.

  • Ingredients = materials and seasonings

  • Preparation = recipe

  • Deadline = finishing time

Just by organizing the structure and sequence, the same 'thought' becomes easier to convey.
Content creation, too, might be a repeatable activity just like that.

From listening to my body's needs,
to rethinking how I eat

Actually, there was a time when the childhood asthma I had returned as an adult. At that time, a medical professional told me, 'You might have a constitution with a slow metabolism and a sensitivity to cold.'

From there, I naturally became interested in the power of ingredients to regulate my diet and body.
I have a real sense that listening to my body's voice is deeply connected to my daily life and work performance.

Experimentally, I have also done this with
zero traffic from social media... and so

I started this note with a handle name and an illustration icon, and there has been absolutely no traffic from other social media platforms like Facebook, X, or Instagram.

This is because I wanted to quietly meet people who resonate with the perspective of 'cooking x communication' within the note platform.

As I continued, there were some happy changes.

  • Started on April 17, 2025, with 0 followers

  • Surpassed 1,000 followers on the 30th day

  • Surpassed 1,500 followers on the 46th day
Monthly views reached 34,615. Cumulative views are also approaching 40,000

I feel that these numbers have somewhat proven that 'thinking about communication through cooking' is a 'useful perspective' that also applies to business.

Just like a recipe,
communication also changes with 'structure' and 'reproducibility'

In this note, I observe and delve into the commonalities between cooking and communication every day. The construction of words, the tone of photos, the ingenuity of titles, and the 'order of delivery.' By adjusting these just a little, the way things are seen and conveyed changes significantly.

I hope this note becomes a place that can provide such reproducible hints.
