On a Morning of Dancing Snow - Shirokuma Pon
A morning when I woke up earlier than usual
I slip my arms into my favorite cardigan
I step out onto the balcony and take a deep breath
The cold, cold morning air
Light snow flutters down from the sky
The dancing snow is like my feelings with nowhere to go
Back then, at that time, you should have been right beside me
When I looked up to my side, you should have certainly been there
That morning, you disappeared
You left me behind and disappeared
I would wave to you from the balcony
And you would look up and wave back at me
To think that was the last time with you
You left me behind and went away
Winter has come again and again since then
But I haven't forgotten, I remember
I remember everything about you
Your shy, bashful smile
Your low voice calling my name softly
And your large hands that would wrap around me
Light snow flutters down from the sky
The dancing snow is like my feelings with nowhere to go
What will happen to that promise we made?
I know it will never come true now
But I still can't let it go, not ever
That promise remains frozen, left behind in a corner of my heart
Light snow flutters down from the sky
The dancing snow is like my feelings with nowhere to go
Winter has come again and again since then
But I haven't forgotten, I remember
Forever and ever

I've decided to participate in "Shirokuma Pon", which has scaled up from the "Haiku de Pon" that started at the last Izayoi Cup⭐
From this time on, you can now choose and "Pon" not just haiku, but also tanka and senryu!
If you like, you can even mix haiku, tanka, and senryu for your "Pon"😊
This time, I chose three poems from the tanka category to "Pon".
I will introduce the poems I used.
They are presented in order of appearance💛
⛄ Kando-san
Stepping outside, along with the cold, I remember
That day, that time, the scenery of you
⛄ Umi no Chie-san
That morning, too, light snow was dancing like this
I haven't forgotten, I remember it all
⛄ Haruna-san
The expired, frost-covered promise
I couldn't throw it away, so I left it frozen
When I was looking at the list, the same images came to mind for the songs I used this time.
They connected into a single story within me.
I thought about how I should express that.
At first, I intended to write a short-short story, but it felt somehow cumbersome. Like, that wasn't quite right.
So, I decided to turn the images that came to mind when I first saw the list into a poem.
I'm not sure if I wrote it well.
However, I honestly wrote down the words that came to me one after another.
The memories and promises with you amidst the dancing snow will remain in my heart forever and ever.
Even if I end up being with someone else.
Lastly, thank you so much to everyone whose songs I was allowed to use this time!
Thank you for reading until the end today as well♪
