[Weekly Short-Short Note] Angel's Fanfare: The Countdown Pulse

"Father. Can you hear me?"
"Dad. Please don't die."
The siblings held their father's hand, speaking to him with tears in their eyes.

How much time had passed? When the alarm sounded from the machine, doctors and nurses rushed in. They performed desperate measures, but the pulse gradually slowed until the heart rate hit zero.

The doctor said regretfully,
"He has passed away."
and informed the siblings.

Suddenly, a fanfare rang out in the hospital room. As the siblings looked at each other in confusion, a suspicious-looking angel appeared.

"Congratulations. Your father has been selected for resurrection!"
"What does that mean?"

The brother asked suspiciously, and the angel replied,
"Your father has won the Life Resurrection Campaign."
Then, the angel began to play the Seirogan theme on the trumpet in its hand.

The moment the angel vanished, the father opened his eyes.

"What are you two doing here together?"

Watching their father, the siblings clicked their tongues so he wouldn't notice.

"Why did he have to come back to life? We were planning to pay off our debts with the inheritance."

This week's theme is "The Countdown Pulse."

It's been a really, really long time since I last wrote a Weekly Short-Short Note.

While writing, I thought the angel's trumpet at the end was like the 'Judgment' card in Tarot!

This card has meanings like resurrection and rebirth.
The dad who died came back to life thanks to the angel's trumpet.
It seems they had plans for the inheritance, but that's counting their chickens before they hatch lol

Speaking of trumpets, it has to be this one, right? lol
