I've realized once again that I need some breathing room in my life. The richness of 'aimless shopping'.

Until now, my focus was entirely on 'how to efficiently complete daily tasks,' and the golden rule for shopping was to buy 'only what is necessary, and only as much as is needed.'

Since I usually base my meal planning on Oisix, any other grocery shopping was kept to a minimum.

In other words, shopping was like a 'chore' to keep my life running.

However, I've recently adopted a stance of wanting to live with a bit more ease and enjoyment...

I've started checking store shelves without a specific purpose, asking myself, 'Is there anything good here?'

Recently, I had lunch with my son at a Korean restaurant, and he liked the tteokbokki so much that we talked about wanting to eat it at home. Thinking 'Kaldi probably has it,' we headed straight there.

Starting with the tteokbokki we were looking for, I took my time browsing Kaldi for the first time in a while and picked up items I wouldn't have reached for before, like a kit for making jumeokbap.

From there, it branched out further, and we decided to 'make something like samgyeopsal,' which we put into practice today.

I set up a Korean-style table with samgyeopsal-style grilled pork belly, seaweed soup, and jumeokbap.

My son was happy with it, and since it's cheaper and more satisfying than eating out, we decided to make it a routine.
*Since the jumeokbap provides the carbohydrates, we'll serve the tteokbokki another time.

Days spent running on efficiency are important... or rather, I think there are phases where you have no choice but to do so.

But when you have a little bit of breathing room, I think it's fun to consciously create 'space,' enjoy taking detours, and that this will gradually enrich life little by little.

I've reached a phase where I can think about things like that.

I intend to continue enjoying small daily discoveries within a reasonable range.
