What I wrote for Tanabata was a letter to my future self
It might have been since I was a child that I last wrote a wish on a Tanabata strip.
“I hope I can become...”
“I hope things go well with...”
Back then, I was more straightforward and just wrote down my hopes for the future as they were.
But now, for some reason, I feel a bit hesitant...
What should I even write as a wish?
And...
Writing a wish at my age feels a little embarrassing! Haha
But then I discovered a wonderful project that blew those feelings away!!
After reading the article,
“I’ll try writing it honestly this year!”
That’s how I felt✨
Thank you for giving me the “courage to put it into words”✨
I’m going to participate in this project by Kotoba-san!!
I thought about choosing just one wish, but...
Before I knew it, several things I wanted to do popped into my head.
・I want to keep writing on note a year from now.
・I want to reach many people with my writing.
・I would be happy if I could earn a little income from my writing.
・I want to try entering public writing contests.
・I want to get a counselor certification.
Is it okay to be this greedy? Haha
Tanabata wishes are supposed to be just one, right?? Haha
---
I’m so fickle! Haha
There are so many things I want to make come true.
But what is my number one wish...
When I thought about that, one thing came to mind strongly—
It really is just one thing.
“May I face myself properly and live in my own way...”
Getting too caught up in trying to fit in and feeling miserable,
or deceiving my own feelings—
I want to reduce those times a little more.
How will I be spending my time a year from now?
It’s okay if not all my wishes come true.
But I hope that I can be just a little kinder to myself than I am today.
With that wish in mind.
I’m sure it will be okay.
Because I believe that this small wish of mine today will gradually build my future.
May the fragments of my wishes shine softly in the future...
