Hello, good evening, good morning.
It has been a very long time.
This is Miya Mochizuki.
I am alive.

Since I transferred departments this fiscal year, my daily rhythm has changed completely, and because I can now eat dinner slowly at home during the time I used to write on note, I have been away from writing for a little while.
But I am doing well.
In the middle of summer, there were days when I was exhausted and felt like tomatoes were the only thing that mattered, but now that it is the season for delicious food and snacks, I am in a real bind.
The season of sweet potatoes, chestnuts, and pumpkins has arrived!

Anyway, my recent situation is not important, so please feel free to skip over it, but I just want you to listen to what I have to say.

This is something called 'Vertical Scroll Bunko' created by Mimuko-san.
I imagine many people who like note also like books.
I like books too.
But the books I like are usually written vertically.
Even though I have gotten quite used to reading horizontal text now, I still want to read stories in vertical text if possible...!
Vertical Scroll Bunko is great because it is vertical.
It is really great.
And it is easy to read.
Paper books have their own unique charm, but in this day and age, I think Vertical Scroll Bunko is wonderful when you want to enjoy books lightly.

And it is stylish. So stylish.
It has color illustrations and is cute.
It catches your eye.
I can proudly declare that the things most lacking in my life, which is already lacking in many ways, are taste and artistic ability, but when I first saw Vertical Scroll Bunko, I thought, 'My, what a stylish book.'
I didn't even think about trying to imitate it because it is absolutely impossible, and while I envy Mimuko-san's talent, my own talent is so far into the negative that I cannot even feel jealous anymore.
The advantage of this library is that it can be 'vertically scrolled,' but it is so cute that I am quite seriously thinking, 'Oh, I want to print this out, bind it, and decorate my house with it.'
Is that wrong?
I wonder if that would feel like a desecration.

Mimuko-san, who is so full of talent, has also launched a website for this Vertical Scroll Bunko.

There are currently four works posted.
I suppose new works will be added in the future.
I heard there are plans to solicit original works in October...
It is just too exciting.

I have been writing frantically out of excitement up to this point.
I am sorry it is hard to read.
After writing at such length, what I want to say is:

As a side note, among the four Vertical Scroll Bunko works created this time, 'Canned Moon' is one I wrote a long time ago.
It is a story I have a lot of attachment to among the many I have written, and when I received the offer from Mimuko-san for Vertical Scroll Bunko, I did a double-take at the DM.
Before I was approached, I had already seen the Vertical Scroll Bunko of works by noters I like, and I was enjoying it as a distant event, thinking how wonderful Mimuko-san's creations were, so I was both surprised and overjoyed when she asked if mine would be okay.
The finished Vertical Scroll Bunko version of 'Canned Moon' is truly wonderful, and even though it is a story I wrote myself, I was able to read it with a very fresh feeling.
Moreover, the trigger for the creation of this story 'Canned Moon' was Mimuko-san's project called 'Delusional Review'.
Mimuko-san, you are amazing.

In addition to the wonderful works that will surely continue to increase, I would like to quietly assert here that I would personally love to see short story collections filled with stories by various people written on a single theme.
