"Just by having someone listen..." Changes in my body and feelings one week after surgery 💗
It has been exactly one week since I had surgery for ptosis and an orbital tumor on February 12th.
Compared to videos of downtime for general ptosis surgery, my face, which underwent two procedures plus a skin graft, is still swollen and the color hasn't returned to normal yet 💦
I take photos of the changes in my face every day, but yesterday morning, while looking in the mirror, I started to think, "Maybe this surgery was a failure," and I became increasingly anxious. Just as I was thinking about calling the hospital to ask about it,
my note friend chiyo-chan sent me a private message asking, "How are things going?" (chiyo-chan had also contacted me on the day of the surgery, so I had shown her the worst photos).
When I showed her the photos from before the surgery and my current state again and talked about my worries,
"I think many patients are quite considerate of the hospital staff and end up swallowing what they want to say 😅 But you should speak up~ Don't hold back, come and share your anxieties with me."
She said that (chiyo-chan is a nurse 🧡), and with that push, I gathered my courage and called the hospital 👏
Even though I called during a busy time at the hospital, they listened to my anxieties for nearly 15 minutes and answered each one carefully without any annoyance...
They told me, "Please feel free to talk about anything again at your next check-up"...
My face's condition hasn't changed, but my anxiety has decreased a little, and I feel like I can wait for my appointment date with a bit more peace of mind.
Of course, my family had been telling me every day, "It's changing little by little, it's getting better," and I know myself that it's considerably better compared to when it was at its worst, but I realized that I just hadn't reached the level of my expectations.
Ah~, my tendency to want things "as soon as possible" and "better" shows up even in a situation like this 💦
But I won't deny myself for feeling that way, and I will tell myself, "It's okay, it's getting better" 💕 (I actually said it out loud~ 🎵)
Just today, I had a real-life community meeting. Until yesterday, my eyes wouldn't open very well, and I had arranged for a friend to give me a ride, but this morning, in order to go out, I put on my going-out clothes and applied makeup everywhere except for the scars. My feelings became more positive, and I decided to drive myself there (^^)/
Encouraged by chiyo-chan and the warm comments and private messages on many other noters' articles (thank you too, Noko-san~ 🎵), getting a satisfying answer from the hospital doctor, and changing my clothes and putting on makeup to go out, I feel my heart changing (*^^*)
Thank you very much 🎵

I think I was feeling down partly because I had been cooped up at home for so long (*´σー`)hehe
I had thought today's real-life community meeting would be "a hassle" (lol), but perhaps this was something I needed too (´∀`*)ufu
Thankful to my own body for healing the surgical scars, thankful for the kind words from so many friends, I will trust my body a little more and watch the progress without rushing (⋈◍>◡<◍)。✧♡
Maybe I'll go shopping today while wearing sunglasses (lol)...
I wrote this just as it came to mind (#^.^#)
See you later ☆彡
Thank you for reading again today
