A wonderful life of living joyfully and abundantly💛
The "scenery I see" changed after I retired at the end of March 2020.
Until then, my days were just waking up, doing chores, going to work, working hard for long hours, coming home, doing more chores, and going to sleep... such a daily routine💦
The changing seasons, the townscape, the neighborhood, and the people passing by were all going past me, but my heart wasn't catching any of it.
I enjoyed nature and the changing seasons on my days off, but that was just an event; if you asked me if I was spending my repeated days with a rich heart... I was desperate every day, and the days just went by one after another.
That said, work was never something I hated... No, rather, I thought "childcare" was my true calling, and I enjoyed continuing to learn no matter how old I got.
Because I was working, I also had confidence in "my way of life."
Therefore, even if my housework wasn't enough, and even if my family or husband cooperated or helped me to support my work, instead of being grateful, I just took it for granted... (though it was unconscious💦)
I had never helped with the gardening or farm work that my father cherished.
I didn't know at all what kind of flowers were in our garden or how to grow vegetables.
I didn't even notice my father's deep feelings for his family and me...
My father's death, my parents-in-law's deaths, my aunt's "end-of-life planning for one"...
I experienced the end of life, funerals, graves, inheritance, real estate, and various other things.
I learned about a new world different from "childcare."
I retired from the "childcare industry" where I had been working for a long time before the mandatory retirement age...
My world changed completely after I retired.
I go to bed early at night, wake up early in the morning, make breakfast and lunch for my husband, do gardening, handle daily chores, and am experiencing many new learnings and encounters.
Not only how to grow vegetables and deal with weeds, but also daily conversations with neighbors; even though I have lived here for many years, when I go for a walk,"scenery I didn't know"comes into view.
I threw away many things, did some decluttering, and learned that I had beensurrounded by things I didn't need.
「終活」を学ぶことで、「人生」についても考えるようになった。Whether walking or driving, I have come to think about the "lives" of the people passing by.
Even for someone walking with a cane, they had times when they were energetic, they had their youth, and I feel a sense of endearment even for complete strangers, thinking about how they have built up their lives until now.
Even when many people are passing by, I feel the life of "each and every one" of them there.
I feel that what is given to me now is all the important things that I had lost and hadn't noticed while living until now.
I can accept each of the many new things I learn with a feeling as if I am being reborn.
Even a single book can evoke empathy, stir the heart, and resonate deeply.
That is why, ever since then, I have always been shown 'new scenery'.
And I probably will be forevermore...
But I never want to deny everything I have lived through until now.
There is no need to deny it either.
Having received so much love since I was born, realizing my dreams, getting married, raising children, and continuing to work in the field of 'childcare',
every single day might have been full of shortcomings, but it is also a fact that I lived desperately hard.
At each moment, I made my own choices and built up my life!
I am now realizing my father's thoughts as well.
I am now properly tending to the field my father left behind.
I am also diligently taking care of my mother and aunt.
I am staying close to the feelings of each family member and cherishing that time as well.
I am now reclaiming things that I could not handle in the past.
You can start living your own new life at any time.
いつ始める?そう、今でしょう・・・(*^-^*)Everyone has 'a life of their own'. When you are born into this world, you are given a
'seed to bloom the only flower in the world'.
You bloom that 'only flower in the world' by using your own way and pace, while accumulating a lot of love, support, and environment.
That is not something done by one's own power alone.
We are never alone.
In this current COVID-19 pandemic, the number of people who feel lonely or unable to connect with others is increasing.
What can we do in such a world...
“A wonderful life of living joyfully and abundantly💛”
I want to find something I can do so that each and every person can lead that kind of life.
Above all, so that I myself can think on the last day of my life, “It was a wonderful life of living joyfully and abundantly...”
That means “cherishing the present moment”!
Not sacrificing the present for the sake of the future!
What am I working hard for? Being conscious of that!
Connecting with people!
My life might end tonight.
The world might end.
今をどう生きる?・・?
