[Project Participation] Speaking of "Autumn"... "Sports Day!"

For me, having worked in the childcare industry, "Autumn" was the busiest time of the year.

That is, "Sports Day"!!

Both the children and the teachers engage in various activities leading up to "Sports Day".

Practicing performances and dances, practicing physical activities, and so on☆☆

But, if possible, I have always been conscious of not using the word "practice" so that the children can

"look forward to Sports Day with excitement"

as they prepare.

For the children, it's about the joy of taking on challenges, increasing what they can do, and dancing in harmony with everyone; for the teachers, it's about enjoying these stimulating days together and providing support.

So... teachers have a mountain of things to do (lol)

Whether it's learning dances and performances from somewhere, choreographing them yourself, thinking about things that the children in your current class can do while adding a little challenge, wishing for the parents to be happy, wanting to show off their wonderful progress while being careful not to compare them, preparing props and scenery, or being in charge of school-wide initiatives outside of your own class,

what teachers do is actually amazing, isn't it☆☆

But, they don't show that on the surface.

Because the main characters are the children♬

If the children say it was fun after "Sports Day" is over, that's the best☆☆

And if the parents are happy too, it makes me feel doubly happy and rewarded.

And, and, in the world of childcare, autumn isn't actually just about "Sports Day".

After all,the sky is high and it's the autumn harvest season

I want to go for walks and field trips, go potato digging,

I want to play with the potatoes I dug, go leaf peeping, and go pick up acorns,

I want to let them have lots of those experiences

…so, for teachers, it is a very busy autumn (lol)

Therefore, to all the teachers working in the childcare industry nationwide,
and school teachers,


I am rooting for you! 📣📣📣📣

However, the way "Sports Day" is held may have changed over the past two years.

It might also be an opportunity to rethink what "Sports Day" means to children and their parents.

Either way, I hope it becomes "an autumn day where children's smiles shine" 💛💛💛

Now that I have retired, while I look back on those times with nostalgia, I also feel happy that I can enjoy autumn at a leisurely pace like this.

The other day, I heard a broadcast while I was doing some gardening.
It brought back fond memories of my own children's sports days❤️

Next week, I am taking my 87-year-old mother and 80-year-old aunt on a trip to "Ikaho Onsen."

I want to show them beautiful autumn leaves, let them soak in the hot springs, and help them make wonderful memories.
