Sharing information about note's 'automatic multilingual support'

The other day, an unfamiliar message appeared at the top of an article I posted.

It means exactly what it says.

My article is also
reaching 'English readers'.

At the same time, it seems the article is being displayed
via automatic translation from Japanese to English.

I haven't confirmed if it is actually posted in English,
but when I pressed 'English' at the top,
the article text was converted into English.

This service is unique to note.

They have added a
'automatic multilingual support'feature using AI-based automatic translation.

The service began on 'May 27, 2026'.

Currently, it only supports English.
(They plan to support other languages in the future, not just English.)

Also, whether or not to include content in automatic translation
can be set by the creator themselves.

Indeed, in the 'Advanced Settings' when posting an article,
there is an ON/OFF button for 'Automatic article translation'.

By toggling this,
I was able to configure the automatic translation feature.

The creator themselves,
without needing to convert it to English text,
can have it translated automatically.

I felt that this is such a convenient feature.

By utilizing this feature,
it is clear that you can deliver your articles
not only to Japanese people but also to English speakers.

This means that more readers
can read the articles you have written.

Don't you think this is
a quite groundbreaking feature?

By the way,
the population that uses Japanese as their first language
is approximately 125 million.

It ranks 8th in the world.

So, in the case of English...

It is estimated to be about 1.3 to 1.5 billion people.

This figure accounts for about 18% of the world's population.

Compared to Japanese, the number of English speakers
is more than 10 times higher.
