How to Overcome the 'Most Difficult Period' of Daily Posting
Well then, starting today,
the "66-Day Writing Running - Season 2"
has begun.
The purpose of the 66-Day Writing Running (abbreviated: 66-Day Writing Run) is to acquire the habit of writing.
To achieve that, you must continue posting every single day for 66 days!!
So!
When taking on the challenge of daily posting, there is a
period of time that feels the most "difficult..."
To put it bluntly!!
It is the first "one week."
This is because about half of those who attempt to build a habit give up within one week.
Daily posting = A major barrier to habit formation = The first week
In this article,
- Why is the first week so difficult?
- Are there any solutions?
I will talk about these two points.
I hope this will be helpful for those who are starting daily posting today.
Now, let's get started♬

✓ Being hit by the urge to "quit"

Taking a new step forward, thinking, "Let's give it a try!"
That is a wonderful thing.
Now, the problem is that
precisely because you've gone to the trouble of starting,
you want to continue and turn it into self-growth.
Here, I will reveal the
role-playing of 'a certain person'when they take on daily posting.
[Day 1]
Full of motivation,
in a state where they can't suppress their excitement,
thinking, 'I'll just do it!'
Through trial and error,
they finish writing one article and post it.
[Day 2]
They create an article
by applying the lessons learned from yesterday.
The reality is that they are still not used to writing,
and it's a struggle to post.
[Day 3]
The idea of 'I must post daily' takes precedence,
and they haven't decided on a theme of their own.
Once again,
they are at a loss as to 'what to write',
and the writing doesn't progress.
They hold out until the very last minute
and somehow manage to force a post.
[Day 4]
They just can't seem to start preparing to write.
Remembering yesterday's struggle,
they make excuses, saying, 'I still have time.'
They somehow manage to get moving,
but even after starting, they barely finish writing.
It was already past 11 PM.
[Day 5]
They ask themselves, 'What is this for...?'
Before they know it, they are struggling to find reasons not to do it.
Even so,
while feeling a sense of obligation that they 'must do it',
they complete the article and post it.
[Day 6]
...
...
...'I want to quit!'
It's not just that they want to quit,
they even want to forget the four characters for 'daily posting'.
Thinking, 'I have nothing left to write!',
they draw a line and don't face the writing task.
[Day 7]
Freed from daily posting,
I returned to my usual daily life.
That's it!
That was the 7-day flow of a certain person lol
You all understand by now, don't you?
Who is 'that person'...
Yes!
It's me ( -`ω-)>
The seven days mentioned above are
my own experience from when I was still
in the early stages of challenging myself to post daily.
That's right.
I actually
failed quite miserably once💦
✔ Human characteristics

Our lives
are built on habits.
Habits are
actions and thoughts repeated in daily life
that we perform unconsciously.
Like riding a bicycle or driving a car...
Because we can move our bodies unconsciously,
it makes complex actions and delicate thinking
possible.
While this 'habit' can be called
a human characteristic...
It doesn't just have advantages.
At the same time,
there are also disadvantages.
1. Resisting new changes
2. Maintaining the status quo
I will explain them one by one.
1. Resisting new changes
Because our lives are built on habits,
they resist new endeavors.
It is because they are seen as threats to the peace of our daily lives.
Why? Because
they are entities that threaten the tranquility of our daily routine.
It is human nature to not want to break
a comfortable routine once it has been established.
If even a slight new change
tries to alter our daily life,
we unconsciously reject it, thinking, 'What! Who is this guy?'
② Maintain the status quo
Once the brain recognizes comfort and peace,
it perceives that as 'the usual'
and strives to maintain it.
Once the brain understands that 'the usual is best,'
it maintains it thoroughly.
When this happens, even if it is a bad habit,
the brain recognizes it as 'the usual,'
so we end up engaging in it unconsciously.
✔ How to overcome
the most difficult period

As a human characteristic,
we resist new changes
and struggle to
maintain the status quo at all costs.
That is why
states like 'I can't keep up with daily posting'
or 'I end up giving up no matter what'
are actually quite normal.
After all, unconsciously,
we are thinking,
'I won't do anything new'
and 'Isn't the usual way fine?'
But...
If that's the case,
you will remain the same person forever,
and you won't acquire the ability to write
or the persistence to keep writing.
Above all,
you will never reach
what you truly want to write.
So, how can you
overcome that most difficult first habit
and move forward?
The answer is...
Just do it!
That's it.
You might have thought,
'That's blunt...'
Certainly,
there are concrete methods
to continue posting daily.
For example,
・Set up an environment where you want to write
・Know the time you want to write
・Secure time for writing
・Decide on a theme and write
・Structure your writing with certain rules
and so on...
If I list examples,
there end up being quite a few.
But you know,
no matter what method you take,
there are irregular situations.
Irregular: unexpected problems
Not being able to find time,
not being able to think of a topic no matter what,
or being so sleepy that you have no motivation...
At times like that,
what really counts
is [just doing it].
Do it without making excuses!
Just do it without complaining!
After all, if you keep doing it,
you will naturally get into the flow
and find yourself able to write.
In fact, some parts of the article I'm writing right now
were written by putting 'just do it' into practice
and getting into the groove.
Once you get started,
your engine will naturally start running.
'Just do it'
It's simple,
but that's all there is to it.
Regarding 'just doing it',
I would be happy if you could also refer to
the article below ☟
