Entrepreneurship is Tenacity

I imagine some of you may think that "you cannot start a business without talent."

However, from my own experience of starting a business and working with many other entrepreneurs,
I am convinced that entrepreneurship is
by no means something that succeeds on talent alone.

Of course, knowledge is necessary, and planning is necessary.
Also, money, connections with people, and timing are important.
There may be parts that can be managed if you have a certain amount of talent.

However, what matters in the end is, after all, tenacity.

Tenacity is the power to keep believing.

I do not believe this "tenacity" means pushing yourself unreasonably.
"I can surely do it,"
"I will definitely make it a reality,"
"This value is needed by the world."
Isn't the power to not give up and to keep believingwhat tenacity is?

And, while holding this tenacity,
believing that you alone can see what no one else can see yet,
believing that what has not yet taken shape is already formed in your heart,
and in that state, thinking, moving, trying, correcting, and challenging yourself every day—
I believe this is what "entrepreneurship" is.

This is not limited only to launching a company.

Starting a new business.
Creating a new system.
Taking on a new learning challenge.
Choosing a new way of life.

They are all the same.

I am currently involved in the establishment of the "Marunouchi Ethics Corporate Association,"
and I am truly feeling this keenly.

Offering your heart first

People who start something are those who offer their hearts first toward a future that is not yet visible.

To those around them, it might look difficult.
They might look like they are suffering, thinking without rest.
The sight of them getting back up even after failing might look clumsy.

However,
for the person themselves, that is happiness.

Being able to immerse yourself, keep thinking, have the feeling of moving forward little by little,
and seeing a future where you can be useful to someone—isn't that state
the state of happiness?

Successful people do not let hardship end as just hardship.
They find meaning within difficult things.
They even turn times that do not go well into material for growth.

That is why every day is fulfilling.
Because there is no wasted time.

Having conviction with a heart of gratitude

I myself am also feeling very fulfilled every day right now.

There is something I want to do.
There is value I want to deliver.
There are people I want to make smile.
For that reason, I can continue to think, act, and learn again today.

That is something I am truly grateful for.

Entrepreneurship is not simply about starting a company.

It is about bringing the wishes within yourself to life in society.
It is about using your own life for the happiness of someone else.

Believe that you can surely do it.
Think until you can do it.
Continue until you can do it.
And, be able to think of the process itself as happiness.

I believe that a person who has that heart
is already walking the path to success.

Summary

The way to succeed is,to just keep going,
couldn't one say?

Sometimes you lead from the front as a leader,
and sometimes you follow someone else as a member.

In any case, I believe that people who have a strong desire and tenacity
to create a better Japan and a better world
will surely open a path, even if it means changing their form along the way.
