Why not join the unofficial project "#ToYouWhoAreAfraidOfSeptember1st"?
Hello, good evening.
I am Mitoshi, an illustrator.
Lately, I have been spending more time opening note and writing than I have drawing illustrations.
But that is beside the point.
I have decided to start a project.
The title is "#ToYouWhoAreAfraidOfSeptember1st".
Overview of #ToYouWhoAreAfraidOfSeptember1st
As the name suggests, this is a message project for those who are afraid of September 1st.
It is specifically aimed at elementary, middle, high school, and university students.
In short, it is a project to send messages to children, pupils, and students.
As a preliminary project, I also intend to include "#ToParentsWhoAreAfraidOfSeptember1st".
September 1st marks the end of summer vacation and the start of the new school term.
I apologize for sharing a personal story, but on this day in my third year of middle school, I started going to the infirmary instead of class.
I won't go into what happened after that here, but simply put, I was afraid to go to the classroom.
I hear that even now, there are many children who, just like I was back then, face September 1st with fear.
The new term, friends, studies, homework, teachers, romance, parents, entrance exams, club activities—everything.
Children who are troubled by life and feel pessimistic about their short lives of only 10 or 20 years so far.
And who, in their desperation, end up hurting themselves.
It all started with a single article I wrote on a whim, wondering what I would say to my younger self if I could talk to them now.
It will be published today at 11:30 AM.
I wanted to expand this movement.
Even if my article doesn't resonate with you, someone else's might touch your heart.
No, whether it touches your heart or not doesn't matter.
Honestly, I just hope it can empathize with the fearful feelings of students and serve as a place to hold the feelings of those who keep blaming themselves.
Eligibility, Period, and Conditions
Eligibility is open to any note creator.
Whether you are a single adult with no connection to this, a parent raising children, or a student currently going through it, anyone can participate.
The period is from when this article is published, tentatively August 23, 2024, at 12:00 PM,
until September 15, 2024, at 11:59 PM, when children continue to carry their heavy burdens.
The condition for entry is a "message for those who are afraid of September 1st," and the content must be non-aggressive.
I will not include articles that I perceive as aggressive.
Also, please create your content as a free-to-read article.
There is no word count limit, but please keep it reasonable as overly long text can be difficult to read.
As mentioned above, please post your article with the tag #ToYouWhoAreAfraidOfSeptember1st.
Short posts (tweets) are also acceptable.
If you are using #ToParentsWhoAreAfraidOfSeptember1st, please don't forget to include the main project tag as well.
Since this content is aimed at people who are struggling, please remember to keep a kind heart.
I will publish a summary article by August 30th.
By around 6:30 PM on August 30th, I will compile the articles and posts submitted up to that point and introduce them in a summary article.
Please forgive me if there is a slight delay in publishing the article.
Conversely, if many are gathered, I plan to release summary articles as appropriate before then.
The reason it is on the 30th is to make it in time for the 31st.
It will be a rushed one-week project, but I hope that at least one person will participate.
Also, I am thinking of releasing summary articles on September 1st, September 2nd, September 7th, and September 16th as well.
It might be impossible if things get tough, but I intend to try as much as I can.
It is uncertain whether those articles will reach people in need immediately, but let's believe and do it.
I am counting on the reach of note.
There is no reward, but I will provide comments and introductions in the summary articles.
I am sorry, as I am on a low salary, I may not be able to prepare any rewards.
For now, this is the project overview.
If you agree with the purpose of this project, I would love for you to spread and introduce this article.
After all, I am still someone with few followers.
I am not very confident in my ability to reach people.
I would really appreciate your cooperation.
I look forward to your participation.
I will end it here for now.
This project relies on everyone's kind feelings.
Thank you very much for your support.
Let's meet again.
This was Mitoshi, an illustrator who was once a truant child.
