【Being properly particular about note】 I am significantly changing my operational policy.

Good morning.
I imagine many of you are feeling anxious
about your commute during this typhoon.

In the midst of that, thank you very much
for reading my article.

Well, this time I am talking about the policy change
that I mentioned I would make from time to time.
First of all, in this article, I had
set one goal.

To put it simply,
it was "to publish everything for free
until I surpass 200 followers."

As of 7:00 on the end of May, my current number of followers
is 144.
I am still far from reaching my goal.

However, there is something I have wanted to do for a long time, and
if I continue like this, I might never
be able to get started on it.

However, as I will mention later, I
do not have much time.

Therefore, with a new way of thinking,
I intend to do
what I want to do.

The outspoken illustrator abolishes the goal. ~Being properly particular about note operations~

The reason is that I have taken the plunge and
started memberships and paid article subscriptions.

After reading articles by people I respect who are "particular,"
I thought, "My goal has no meaning."

Certainly, if I don't easily achieve
around 200 followers,
monetizing note probably won't go smoothly.

However, I asked myself, "Is being particular about the number of followers the right kind of particularity?"

My personal theory is "at my own pace, rock-solid."
However, I have not set a follower count for that.
And also, various numbers are under a spell
that says, "If you don't understand the meaning, they are just numbers."

Anyway, I am not doing note
to "gain followers,"
but because I want people to trust me as a person and receive requests,
which is why I chose the SNS called note.

The reason I "want to receive requests"
is simply because "I want to earn money."

Well then, that's fine, isn't it?
There is no reason why I "cannot earn money on note," right?

To draw good pictures,
to approach it with a little bit of tension,
I will charge a fee.
I promise quality there.

That is what I decided.

I will draw pictures that make people who see them think, "I'm glad I saw this."

What I should be particular about is drawing (writing) things that make the people who see and read them
think "I'm glad I saw this" or "I'm glad I read this."

I will delete tweets so that articles don't get buried,
think about what is missing from my articles,
and put much more heart into my illustrations.

That is what 'proper focus' means for me.

Thinking about the three pillars of my note operation.

My main tool is an iPhone.
I sometimes use an iPad to draw,
but I write articles exclusively on my smartphone.

That is why I can only access and update my Coconala blog
on an iPad,
and I also have doubts about its reach.

note suits me the best.

Of course, if I really wanted to focus, I could consider typing on an iPad,
but for now, I intend to use the app and Safari on my smartphone
and keep going as far as I can.

So, after thinking about the three pillars of Mitoshi's note branding,
the following items were created.

1. Reading material from an outspoken illustrator
   (for illustrators and the general public)
   (※Includes paid articles)

2. Lightweight free content illustrations
   (basically free)

3. High-quality paid illustrations
   (prohibited from redistribution, but high-quality illustrations suitable for AI learning)

I don't need to explain them one by one; I have just categorized
the articles I have posted so far.
In other words, the content of the updates themselves won't change much.

But I feel refreshed myself.

Regarding illustration taste and style

My art style consists of
'highly detailed watercolors' and 'simple speed paintings'.

I will not change this in the future.
Both are me.
So, I won't be confused anymore.

I will update the simple speed paintings
as free content.

I will have people enjoy the highly detailed, full-effort illustrations
as paid content.

That is the direction I will take.

From now on, my time will become shorter.

I don't know if anyone remembers, but
I am also a cancer survivor.
And the other day, the possibility of an intractable disease also came up.

From now on, my time will only continue to
get shorter due to medical practice and other commitments.

No one knows
how much time they have left.

But if I do it now, before my time runs out,
I might be able to get it done.

I have decided to prioritize what I want to do.
