[Let's Sing Polaris] The deadline for song submissions is Sunday, December 22nd
Actually, I have been bedridden with a cold since Wednesday night.
I felt so terrible on Thursday that I couldn't even go to the hospital, but I finally got a prescription on Friday and have been recovering since this morning.
I had quite a high fever, but I tested negative for both COVID and the flu.
Since the deadline is approaching, I would like to make this announcement again.
I am currently continuing this personal project.
(The headers for all of these were created by mi-ko4690)
The content is almost the same, but I will post the details again.
[Song and Audio Source]
This is an instrumental piece I wrote for the "Shirokuma Pon" secondary creation project during the Haiku Tournament the year before last, and for which I solicited lyrics in the first half of this project.
In the middle of the song, I have quoted Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, "Ode to Joy."
Why don't we all sing the Ninth Symphony together as we approach the end of the year?
It is a difficult song, but I would be happy if you could also sing the other original parts.
Here is the song sung by Vocaloid as a reference.

Here is the work-in-progress version where I am mixing everyone's vocals at this stage.
Since the song is long, I think it will be difficult to sing it all at once.
After the sheet music, I have uploaded audio sources with the song divided into four parts.
You are welcome to record in separate sections while listening to them.
Please refer to the final [Participation Guidelines and Notes] for more information.
[Lyrics]
(Intro-1)
The falling shooting stars
(A-melody-1)
What are they bringing?
Those distant lights
If they were your tears
I would surely be drowning
(A-melody-2)
Connecting the you of yesterday and the me of tomorrow
The starry night is our hope
(Bridge-1)
Musical notes scattered in the cosmos
(B-melody "Ode to Joy")
Light descends from the distant cosmos
Pouring down upon fragile life
Tie your shoelaces and open the door
A song of joy in the pure white city
(Bridge-2)
I am surely there too
(Intro-2)
Singing happiness to the night sky
(A-melody-3)
You, draped in light
Looking back at the lamp light
To your white, hazy mouth
Repeating whispers
(A-melody-4)
Look at the shimmering descending
Put your hands together and grasp it
Resonate far and wide
This happiness
(Bridge-3)
Lulululu-lulu-lululu
(Epilogue)
One shooting star at a time
Turn them into notes and float them in the cosmos

[Participation Guidelines and Notes]
(1) For mixing purposes, please record your vocals as a .wav or .mp3 audio file. If you are using a smartphone, the default setting may be .mp4 (video format).
I can convert it, but I would hate for your hard work to go to waste if the tempo doesn't match, so please try to use the requested formats if possible.
(2) To record, please download one of the audio sources posted in this article, listen to it with earphones, and record only your vocals separately.
You will need to send the data to me via some method (email attachment, Google Drive link, file transfer service, etc.).
Since this is an original song, you can also upload it to a note audio article in a downloadable state. (In that case, please upload it as a project participation article so it doesn't get treated as a private message.)
Please avoid uploading to Stand.fm. Depending on the situation, the tempo may not match.
In any case, please let me know in the comments section of this article.
Once I download it and confirm that the tempo matches, I will keep it safe for mixing.
If you have any other questions about recording or data transfer, please feel free to ask in the comments section.
If email attachment is your only option, I will provide the destination address in the comments.
(3) I will not perform any audio processing other than echo. If you need voice changing or other effects, please process them yourself in advance.
(4) I will release the mixed song periodically, even if it is incomplete.
I think this will also serve as a reference for those who will sing later.
(5) The Vocaloid currently singing is just a guide.
(There is a possibility that it will be used for choruses or ad-libs, or kept at a lower volume in the final version.)
(6) If you post a related article, please be sure to include the tag "#Let'sSingPolaris" and embed this article.
(Since this is a personal project, I don't expect any issues, but lol)
(7) As written, you do not need to sing all parts at once. You are welcome to sing in separate parts, and you can re-record the same part during the period. Please feel free to sing as many times as you like.
The deadline is Sunday, 12/22, but if I am still working toward completion, it is possible to replace files within a limited number of days.
I am aiming for a release on December 28th, so please send it by the 26th at the latest.
(8) The lyrics are finalized, so changing the lyrics or singing a parody version is prohibited.
(9) Please avoid sending data via creator inquiries. There is a high risk that it will be buried in email notifications and I might overlook and delete it.
I am looking forward to completing the song with everyone's vocals at the end of the year.
I hope as many people as possible will participate without worrying too much about pitch or rhythm.
Thank you.
See you later.
Wishing you all the best.
