How I Engage with note - My Personal Rules for note
My way of engaging with note is to leave it to how I feel at the time, never pushing myself, and keeping in mind to write down what I want to express just as my heart dictates.
🍀Project Overview🍀
🍀Enjoying the town of note on my own terms🍀
Focusing mainly on things like poetry and prose, I participate in recruitment projects hosted by everyone, learn from your works with a basic attitude of enjoying myself, and sometimes even take walks outside the town of note. However, it is just a walk to read widely.
I have also decided on topics I will not write about.
Things related to my actual work.
Partly because note was a place for me to escape to during this state of emergency, as someone who was already struggling to adapt.
My basic rule is to create things happily on my own, as my heart leads me.
🍀I want to live in a different world🍀
I also had this feeling that I wanted to live in a different world.
In your mid-fifties, you are under various social pressures. I couldn't help but feel like I was living a cramped life, constantly watching other people's reactions. Because of my deep-thinking nature, I started to feel resistance toward expressing myself, and I felt like I would quit poetry and music at any moment.
Poetry that no one reads, amateur works that no one is interested in, things that no one sees...
At first, I was prepared for my own works to be viewed that way...
However, here in the town of note, such worries were unnecessary. It was a place where expression is respected, and it was very free.
If I were a poet...
If I were a novelist...
If I were a composer...
🍀Everyone, are you really reading this!?🍀
That was a series of surprises at first.
Back when the i-mode service for mobile phones started, I created a poetry site on i-home, and I felt a fresh sense of wonder and surprise similar to that time.
When I came to this town of note, I found many kind people creating wonderful works everywhere, each making the most of their own sensibilities. I was deeply moved to find that such kind, strong, and sensible people are the majority.
What's more, the level of quality is impressive. And they even provide feedback on works as insignificant as mine. Comments fly back and forth, and people greet each other.
I was skeptical about social media, but for now, it seems there is nothing to worry about in this town.
Conversely, I learned that a high degree of self-discipline is required from the user side.
🍀 The joy is in seeing my own poems increase.
Since I can also create magazines,
I can experience the feeling of having published a poetry collection.
Furthermore, having people read them and share their feedback with me.
This is surely even more fun than publishing a poetry book.
It is very gratifying to have my work reach those I interact with. The first comment from someone new who reads my work is also very delightful.
🍀 note is a place for inspiration and gratitude.
I also tried my hand at writing a novel. I was inspired by someone's wonderful haiku and created a story. It was so fun that I lost track of time, but that was when I started to become conscious of time management.
🍀 Don't force yourself to write. Sleep well. Don't disrupt your daily rhythm.
It's okay to take a break sometimes; there are times when you can't create.
When you can't reply to comments, don't force yourself to, and refrain from commenting yourself.
Don't demand things from others. Don't demand things 'right now'.
I impose these rules on myself.
🍀 I honestly rejoice at notifications.
I mainly post poems, but I also publish novels and musical compositions, however amateur they may be.
Drafts tend to pile up, but I don't seek perfection. Perhaps this is also a rule.
Notifications saying 'I read it' or 'I listened to it' are incredibly happy moments for me.
Because of that, I have become able to publish my work with a sense of trust.
🍀 I give a 'like' only after reading the entire article.
During the year-end and New Year holidays, I make it a rule to visit all the people I follow and who follow me (I don't like the term, but I'll use it here), but... I'm a slow reader, so I feel bad that I can't get around to everyone right away.
🍀 In closing 🍀
I am simply grateful. My creative drive is built upon that foundation.
Thank you so much.
I want to live happily in the town of note with sincerity.
To everyone at the Dream 🍀 Consultation Room, thank you for providing such a great opportunity to reflect on my own rules!
