For the first time in two weeks,
I had a tea ceremony lesson.

In the alcove were seasonal flowers and
a scroll with the Zen phrase
'Clouds clear, the mountains are blue.'
The clouds clear away, and the mountains appear blue.

The hazy clouds clear,
revealing the vast, lush green mountains.
It feels as though it reflects the state of my own heart.

With a seasonal nerikiri sweet and
a bowl of finely whisked thin tea,
I am simply, purely happy.
