Introducing My Leopard Gecko ①

How I Came to Adopt Her

I hadn't originally planned on adopting one.

However, her pitch-black eyes were so cute that it was love at first sight. Before I knew it, I had brought her home!

Physical Characteristics

Her pitch-black eyes, typical of a Super Mack Snow, are her biggest charm point.

Furthermore, since I brought her home, there has been a heart-like shape in the pattern on her head.

Although the shape has changed a little as she has grown, it is still a favorite feature of mine that makes me think, 'She really is cute,' every time I see it.

Personality

She is very laid-back and easygoing.

Even when I put her together with other females during cleaning, she doesn't seem to mind at all and spends her time at her own pace.

She isn't that timid, but she seems to be a little uncomfortable with unfamiliar human voices.

Handling

Handling is absolutely no problem.

She likes to ride on my shoulder while I'm cleaning, and she will climb up on her own; before I know it, she's relaxing on my shoulder.

In the winter, she loves being on my warm hands.

Some leopard geckos dislike being handled, but I think Pino-chan is quite used to people.

Feeding habits

They are quite a glutton.

Since they eat basically anything, including artificial food and frozen crickets, I am the one who has to adjust the portions.

They are always full of enthusiasm on feeding days.

Shedding

They are very good at shedding, and I have never had to help them.

As an owner, this is a huge help.

Things they dislike

The only thing they are a bit bad with is the water from the spray bottle.

When I spray them, they make a slightly annoyed face (lol)

They were an eye-catching presence from the moment I first saw them.

Now they have become a mother to the babies, but they are still as laid-back as ever.

Seeing them climb onto my shoulder or watching their gluttonous behavior when they find food makes me want to spoil them.

They are in charge of healing in our home.
