I have no complaints about my current job, but.
Good evening.
Today was the day for my coaching session with my coach in the morning.
My recent themes have often been about human relationships, and even though more than half of today's conversation was about that, I realized at the end that it was actually about my work at my current workplace.
At my current workplace, I really have absolutely no trouble with human relationships; everyone is kind and pleasant.
The work itself is no different from my previous job, as I work in a group home, so while there are some differences as an organization, I don't really have any problems.
If anything, it's easier to take time off than at my previous job, and I don't feel any psychological burden on my days off.
I am able to work in complete peace.
However, even in such a peaceful state, I realized that I feel a sense of dissatisfaction with my work.
At my current workplace, as long as I provide support calmly every day, it doesn't feel like much more is expected of me, and apparently, that is the source of my dissatisfaction.
In terms of CliftonStrengths themes, for someone like me with Futuristic and Strategic in my top strengths, I feel things like:
"I can't see the future."
"What should things look like?"
"Where are we ultimately heading?"
When that happens, it's painful because my daily work feels fragmented, and I can only make choices in an ad-hoc manner.
It was interesting how I ended up talking about work even though I was supposed to be talking about something completely different.
This is also one of the good things about coaching.
For now, I thought I'd like to think of ways to resolve this dissatisfaction with my work, haha.
Thank you for reading this far!
