Poem: 'Moon Thief' #ShirokumaLiteratureClub
This morning's moon
was nibbled on by you, who overslept
Last night, before getting into bed
when I peeked out the window
it was a full moon like a cookie
I, who woke up late
ate brunch at a leisurely pace
and then washed the dishes
At noon, as the sun revolves
the midday moon
on the half-translucent moon
there is a faint tooth mark
The carp in the pond leap
splashes of water
we dive into the blue sky with a splash
the beating heart
is the excitement of a first-magnitude star
The sunflowers in the garden tilt their heads
saying, summer will be over soon, too
while watering the flowers that look like miniature suns
the afternoon conversation melts away
The sun will shine……,
diffuse reflection.
Every second, every second, shines
like a living sculpture of water
I capture it with the camera of my eyes
When you come home
and the tooth marks match
I will arrest you with a bracelet
Beware of the moon thief
while sweating
the moon is quietly looking down
