Leave Nutrition and Mental Well-being to Me
🍃 When you're in a bind, that might just be the beginning
“Did I handle that right?” “They choked, and now they have a fever again…”
When it comes to meals and nutrition, those quiet questions of “What should I do?” often arise.
I believe these are important moments of hesitation born from your sincere care for someone.
As a registered dietitian, I have stood by the front lines of daily care, including diabetes management, nutritional support for the elderly, pressure ulcer management, and enteral nutrition.
The desire to eat, the desire to support—I help turn the confusion that arises at that intersection into “peace of mind and clarity” through professional support and experience.
🌿 Nutrition is part of medical care—because it has the power to influence treatment
Nutritional status significantly impacts the course of treatment and a patient's recovery.
“Nutrition is not a supporting role; it is at the heart of medical care”—believing this, I continue to explore the meaning of eating and providing nourishment.
Nutritional supplements (high-calorie drinks, jellies, thickening agents, etc.) are “helpful items” that play an active role in home care and medical settings.
However, it is also true that there is a lot of confusion and anxiety regarding how to choose them, how to use them, and their compatibility with one's physical condition.
On this note, I re-examine these “troubles” and share information that leads to someone’s smile and confidence by providing background on items, tips for selection, and practical examples.
🕊️ Words that gently light the way for caregivers, too
Even staff members struggling in medical settings sometimes feel uncertain about their own support.
“Am I providing support that I can feel confident in?”—I aim to create articles that stand by those moments of wavering.
What I share on note are the words of patients, insights from the field, and tips for caregivers.
I would be happy if I could gently offer perspectives that allow someone to take a breath or provide options that lead to hope.
