[Lifestyle] A Dishwasher Revolutionized My Housework
Hello, good evening. This is Minon.
This might be sudden, but I bought a dishwasher!
The conclusion is, I should have bought it sooner!
Ever since I lived with my parents, I've been liberated from my number one most hated chore, 'washing dishes,' and it's been a revolution!
Purchased Item
After much deliberation, this is what I bought.
It's the 'SOLOTA,' a dishwasher and dryer exclusively for single-person households made by Panasonic.
I'd been interested in it for over a year, but I kept turning a blind eye, thinking I wouldn't need it living alone.
It's about the size of an A4 sheet of paper, which is surprisingly small for a dishwasher.
When you think of dishwashers, they're usually huge, but this one can fit even in a rental apartment.
Because the size is small, the capacity is limited, but with a little ingenuity, you can wash dishes and cooking utensils for two meals. No problem.
You need special detergent for the dishwasher, but any kind will do, and you only needless than half the amount compared to a standard dishwasherto get the job done. Best value for money.
After using it a few times, I found measuring the detergent to be a hassle, so I'm planning to make things even easier by using something like a soy sauce dispenser that dispenses with a few pumps.
Also, since it's a 2.5L tank model, it's a bit of a pain to fill it with water every time, but I'll get used to it eventually.
Waiting for the water to fill up under the faucet is heavy and I feel like I might drop it, so I need to think of a better way.
Washing dishes is my least favorite chore
I always end up letting dishes pile up and turning a blind eye to them.
It's a task with absolutely zero productivity, isn't it?
I've hated it since I was a child.
Plus, it makes my hands rough.
Laundry is the same way, but even though it's something you absolutely have to do, unlike cleaning, it's a type of chore whereyou have to frequently repeat the same thingright? Washing dishes.
You can just close your eyes to cleaning and let it slide for a bit.
(Ah, I need to clean too...)
Even though I try to minimize the number of dishes I use, it never reaches zero.
How to deal with chores that inevitably arise as long as you're living is a serious problem. For me, at least.
It's true that since I live alone, the amount isn't that much if I wash them right away.
But it's just such a hassle.
Maybe it's a hassle precisely because I live alone.
Because it's an amount I can let pile up.
If you have a family, the amount increases, so you can't just leave them there, right?
You'll run out of dishes to use next.
I tried to turn the tables and intentionally reduce my dishes, but it only helped a little bit.
Since trying to be clever was useless, I obediently paid for a solution
Since it was my number one hated chore, I should have just paid for a solution sooner.
When I introduced a robot vacuum cleaner before, I was overjoyed that I could say goodbye to vacuuming, calling it a revolution! But the dishwasher is even more shocking.
Ah, I really should have bought it sooner.
The time I spent hesitating was a waste.
It goes without saying, but while SOLOTA is working hard to wash the dishes, I can do other things!
This is what makes me happiest!
I have more time to write in my note or my planner!
It's only been a few days since I bought it, but I've already gotten my money's worth. Emotionally, at least.
A dishwasher is a must for living alone!
I highly recommend it!
The end.
